Sorry! I didnt mean to sound ugly. I should have reread what i wrote but was in a hurry. I had everything seperate. and that was a big mess until I also moved everything to the core that meant tuner cards, hard drives and all media files etc.etc. It runs so much smoother. now when something goes wrong I know just where to look.
The core. all of my md's have nothing but the motherboard and or video card, thats it

For everybody that is new to HADesigner, BACKUP!,BACKUP!,BACKUP!.
Well here is the story, me being new to HADesigner and knowing little about MYSQL. Today I was working on a new skin and somehow I made a typo. Well least to say it crashed bigtime. I had not backed up. I had to go into MYSQL manager find everything relating to my skin. and put in the correct info. This was a pain in the ass. I hate relational databases. So now I am back into designing again. So from now on I will backup before I even begin.

Thom, I have searched all of the sources that I have for SaveMythRecording.sh to none avail. in 7.1r2 ver. So I guess i'm going to have to redo my system to 8.1 to get up to date which is not all stable and missing some packages. Unless there is some repository I should be pointing my core to. cause the repositories it is curently pointing to do not exist.

Darn, no wonder mine hasn't broke yet I don't have the file SaveMythRecording.sh. Thom, sorry, I didnt mean to come off like a Know-it-all. I am running 7.1r2 of LMCE. Does that make a diff? Don't worry, i'm not tring to steal the thread. i'm just tring to help out so we can all figure this problem out. Where could I find that file, it is not in /usr/pluto/bin/?

Sound like your are missing drivers and firmware. The operating system may detect it but you need to install the drivers and firmware. This may point you in the right direction  http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Hauppauge_PVR-150

As far as the 64bit goes i'm not sure. and to check and see if the card is loading right you will have an entry in /dev/video0 or /dev/video1

Go to the mythbackend of the core or md that you physically have the card installed and see if it is in capture cards? I use to have that problem in mythbuntu where my two cards would flip flop.

Users / Re: My Core/Hybrid power usage.. Please post yours!
« on: March 01, 2009, 03:38:00 am »
Its going to use more power in hybrid than in a standolone core system. cause you are using more resources to run both an md on top of a core. The more resources the more power you need. unless you have a very high end system.

Well, maybe you are right, but it did not break mine. maybe it is system independent.

Here's how i did it, go to http://192.168.80.1/mythweb/settings/mythweb
Where it say's MythVideo Dir: /home/public/data/videos/tv_shows_1
If that is where your shows are being recorded changing tv_shows_1 to the subdirectory of yours.
And do the same for MythVideo Artwork Dir: /home/public/data/videos/tv_shows_1
apparently these are set to mythtv defaults.
