I've got another idea, how about a section for people using UI1 and a section for UI2. or is UI1 not going to be in 810. I haven't got around to trying 810 yet so I don't know.

Oh, ok, you must be using UI2. I'm using UI1, I don't care about all that extra WOW stuff, but anyways.

Why couldn,t you just uncheck each scenario from that particular room and do a regenerate. and when you whant it back just check it.

I was thinking about suggesting basically the same thing but with me being new to the forums I figured I would be ignored. cause half of the people I think are using 810 and the other half are using 710. You just aren't sure how to answer people based on thier questions. That is a great idea!

I agree to some extent. People that are new to linux shouldnt even be tackling linuxmce because of the nature of getting things running right. but simply ignoring or closing threads is going to loose alot of new people to the community.

I agree 100%

Users / Re: How did you end up here, using LinuxMCE?
« on: March 22, 2009, 09:02:52 pm »
I started messing with linux back in 1996 when all there was slackware and redhat. As time moved on went to debian cause it was alot more user friendly. In 2004 built a debian full fledged server probably over kill, but i like to dabble into new things. I had tried linuxmce 1.0 never did get it to work so I canned it. About a month ago was googling for a better system to fit my lifstyle without the overkill and found linuxmce which I thaught had disappeared of the face of the earth so I loaded up 7.1 and much to my amazment everything worked this time with alittle bit of patching the kernel. If you are very new to linux dont try it. I joined the forums and have been pretty happy with it. Great job to all the developers! Someday soon I would like to contibute more than just alittle knowledge.

Yes they do mention using both "I have tried changing graphics cards and I get the same issues using both a XFX Geforce 8800GTS and an ATI Radeon 2400 card" They say "and an" not "or"
As far as ditching the Radeon, I am using ATI in all of my MD's and core And not once have I had any trouble.
I am always seeing where people are having to tweak thier Nvidia cards just to get them to work. Now i'm not saying to swtch to ATI cards. That is for them to choose.

Have you tried using just one of the cards for the initial setup? Using two diff. cards may be conflicting with each other. When dealing with video cards it's usaully better to have both the same cards.

I am running an acer aspire one which has the same specs, as far as chipset and cpu. being used as a portable md. no problems here. The company doesn't mention the gpu, so I did alittle more research and it is running Intel graphics accel. 950. so I think it would make a great MD.
