worked for me few minutes ago without problem.

Did you get the captcha (include links)? I just tried again from a different PC, and I got the same error. The error also happened to a friend who tried to create an account.

I have a Wiki page started:

http://wiki.linuxmce.com/index.php/VPN

More to come once the captcha is fixed.

I was trying to update the VPN wiki, but couldn't because captcha is broken.

Applied the patch, installed the deb - I'm missing the file userOpenVPN.php  :(

-Coley.

Ah, ok, here are the php scripts. Untar in /var/www/lmce-admin.

We don't add the deb itself, but would prefer to have the source to the deb, so we can build the deb it as part of our regular building process.

Ok, I will provide the source.

I added an updated svn diff, and I created a .deb package for the vpn scripts, and attached. If you want PPTP and OpenVPN, simply apply the diff patch and install the deb.

Can somebody test/add the deb to LinuxMCE repository and update the ticket?

Here is the updated SVN diff.

Can someone with perms update the TRAC ticket, since I get an error for spam?

*Modified: Updated the svn diff to 23202

I don't know, cause I like building rpm - but you're right. :)  Here are the scripts in a tarball instead.

*UPDATE: Updated the vpn.tar - minor change to enable IP forward

I have been absent for a while, but I'm back with a fresh core and will have an updated and working patch soon. Hopefully my time will allow for more contributions.

Installation issues / Re: Latest snapshot is broken?!
« on: July 11, 2010, 07:52:57 pm »
So after much frustration, I think I got a good install. I had to remove everything (hdhomerun, disk drives, zwave, etc) from the core, reboot, remove apt-get locks, run dpkg to clean up the errors, remove the mythtv-plugin post scripts so that dpkg regenerated them, and let everything get cleaned up. I then rebooted and plugged everything back in.

So I am thinking that during my next new install, I will not connect and try to configure all of the drives/lights/etc until after LMCE is installed, configured, and happy.

Installation issues / Latest snapshot is broken?! (Somewhat resolved)
« on: July 11, 2010, 06:40:33 pm »
I decided to blow away my core since it barely works and is never used, and install the latest snapshot. Everything was OK until the final stages of setup when mythtv was installed. The system is stuck on installing pluto-mythtv-plugin. I searched the forum and see others having similar problems, and have tried a few suggestions to get it to work with no success (Obviously the install should at least work on it's own). I am still trying and will update if/when I get everything up. Has anyone gotten the latest snapshot to install? Any suggestions?

There is another Z-Wave controller based on ASUS router - Vera. It also looks interesting
.

I have bee watching vera for a while, and would buy it myself if I wasn't so invested with LinuxMCE. I wonder if it is worth integrating with LinuxMCE instead of using the native z-wave/cameras.

So after much testing and a full reinstall, I found it is not a Myth issue.
