did you guys set it up in webadmin under Advanced or do you use it directly in events? because some time ago it happened to me that the system would only respond if it was set up under advanced...

51  LinuxMCE / Users / 1Wire not working anymore? on: July 21, 2012, 09:04:32 am
Hi,

I had 1wire set up and running properly in 10.04 with a few temperature sensors for some time. I then did a fresh install some time ago and never got it working anymore - it does not even get recognized by it's own.
When I start the OneWire script manually it says: Connection for client socket reported BAD DEVICE IP=::ffff:192.168.80.1, device 0 last error 3
Is anybody else seeing this?

thanks

didn't already exist a ticket about that? I will check later and open a new one if necessary...

edit: yes, ticket 1221
53  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: VDR? on: July 11, 2012, 05:47:46 pm
you need to allow connections from all devices in your network to vdr. just edit the file streamdevhosts.conf in /etc/vdr/plugins/streamdev-server ...that may help

JaseP, just install and configure apcupsd. It's working for me very well for long time now.

58  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: problems with zotac ion? on: June 23, 2012, 09:17:09 pm
I'm running a Zotac ION as MD without problems on 10.04. At install it hangs at the same point you discribed, but after a reboot everything was running smoothly...

will that script get integrated into the UI under "Advanced" (where we have that unfunctional button already) as well?

ok, I think I will just try it as a testsetup for one room in my old house to check how reliable it works.
Hopefully Mr. Hari feels bored soon  Grin
