Hi guys,

I plan to install 1-wire temperature sensors in every room of my house. Now I have a floorheating system and want to add electrical actuators for every seat valve and switch them on and off by X10.
Now if I add an advanced event where I set the needed temperature this should work well. (if sensor<20 switch X10 on...)
But is there any way to set the temperature at the orbiters instead of typing it into webadmin? Does the climate-plugin provide funktions for that?

thanks a lot

ok well the thing is, I can navigate and the OK-button and even the mousefield works, but I can't get the other buttons to work.
I found a tutorial http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=63484 but my hardware.conf and lircd.conf always gets overwritten when I restart lirc...

any ideas?

have a look at your /etc/networks/interfaces
I had the same issue 2 days before because one NIC had two entrys and one of them had no data filled in.
I just commented out the empty one and everything worked fine then...

maybe that helps

edit: I believe activated ipv6 for internal network was my problem...

just for now you could put it in your MDs rc.local

is there any need for 8.10 for you? because my core is on 10.04 and has 4gb and the generic-pae kernel was installed automatically

wouldn't simple motion detection be much more effective than hoping that anybody would be stupid enough to not switch off bluetooth at his phone?

just my 2 cents

as already said, there is absolutely no need for doing that but its probably doable if you think you need it.
everybody is using SSH(yes thats terminal access) and the webadmin page for administrating because everything else does not really make sence.

I believe I don't really get your question. You want to select a movie on the phone and play it on tv, right?
That is what you can do with web- and touchorbiter...

you should really get an idea about what LinuxMCE is first. This is a good start: http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/User_Manual

basically you don't need a seperate receiver at all, get a TV card and connect it to the core or MD...you then will be able to stream TV to any MD in your house, that's what the system is designed for.
Or is there any reason why you want to use a receiver?
