@Sigg3: I had plans for that before, but it turned out to be much much more complex, and if you look at the lipsync in the videos the original poster posted - that is not even close to any real speaking even if it's done by a professional company.
Once the model is done it's not that much of effort to add new animations because all you need is new spoken text from the TTS and a camshot from my lips moving for tracking. Also, we don't have that much cases which need that much of flexibility I think. For example the Install Wizard, that is not a thing which will change every day...

@thom: I DO work on it and still I'm interested in ideas, so it's alright if you don't care but why don't you just ignore this threat instead of spaming it all the time?

@ardirtbiker: don't worry, it just takes time to find out how to make it more human and less zombie ;-)

just wanted to give a little update how far I came until today.

the whole model may totally change and the lipsync will be improved, as well as the hair (I know you can still see the short hair).
I'm learing blender more and more and will keep improving the whole model when I find time.

Use your imagination and let me know what you guys think.

Same here - I had qorbiter running at my galaxy tab and then got a popup that an update was available. after that update it wouldn't start anymore.

Users / Re: Airsight IP Cameras
« on: December 30, 2012, 10:18:25 pm »
they look like one of those chinamade IP cameras. they are around from a lot of different brands but they are all the same. I have one of those "outdoor cameras" and I had big problems running it at the internal network because after some time the cam locked up and it wasn't even possible to access it's built in webserver or ping it anymore.
the only solution for me turned out to use it at the external network, for some reason it runs stable there.

The setup itself was easy, just follow the wiki for ip cameras and enter the right url to the .cgi file. Then follow the wiki for set ip cameras up for external access.

why are you trying to do that? you can boot into the kde desktop by clicking the button at the onscreen orbiter, if that is what you want to do...?

I now wonder if that has something to do with the Zwave dongle which I added a few weeks ago...

Btw. I'm in austria, have had the same X10 setup running correctly and did not change anything to it.

I had it running in 10.04 successfully for months. I can't say exactly but would guess it was working 1-2months before...

@deepB: also keep in mind that LinuxMCE beeing the gateway for the LinuxMCE-network, does not mean you can not place your PCs or laptops outside of the LinuxMCE network. Usually there is a router before the core anyways, so just connect the PCs to the router (if this is your problem with the architecture...).
And if the core acts as a gateway or not, does not really make any difference to the security problem...

Users / Re: Location of Cable/Satellite Box

usually people put TV cards into their core (if that is possible) and the core will record or stream liveTV to the MDs.
You can use satellite boxes if you want to and use LinuxMCE to control them tough...
