I would say just upgrade everything besides mythtv first and then myth.

Is there a solution ?
Remove and reinstall Mythtv on the MD's don't resolve this.
I just want to confirm the new mythtv version is ok, I removed the following lines from "/etc/apt/preferences" on Core & Mds
Package: mythtv mythtv-frontend mythtv-backend mythtv-common mythtv-database mythtv-transcode-utils mythweb libmyth-perlThen run apt-get update & apt-get dist-upgrade, and my new version is
Pin: version 2:0.22*
mythtv-backend = 0.23-0.1
mythtv-common = 0.23-0.1
mythtv-database = 0.23-0.1
mythtv-doc = 0.23-0.1
mythtv-frontend = 0.23-0.1
mythweb = 0.23-0.0
Hi Mandingo, thx for the info.
Which myth packages shall be updated?
I had the preferences file in /etc/apt (for 0.22) and removed this preferences file.
After an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade, no packages were upgraded, only the pluto-myth.
Is there anything else that should be upgraded?
I am new to LinuxMCE and looking forward to working with it. I currently have PBX in a Flash (Asterisk + FreePBX + MySQL + Webmin +.......) installed and running. I would like to know if it is possible to combine PIAF with LinuxMCE? Would it be a major hurdle?
I could keep them separate and pass calls back and forth between using SIP, but that could get ugly or break a few things.
Well it seems your wows will be over soon, i am almost done with integrating mythtv .23 and some new DVB cards into the system
if you havent posted your card info in the other thread i have about DVB cards then do so
If Avenard has dropped support then I think you either need to wait for the 0.23 to be packaged for 0810 or you will have to build your own from sources.
One of the limitations of the Ion GPU is that it does not do full h.264 acceleration...so h.264 will always use more processor than when using other more capable nVidia GPU's.
