Users / X10 Light Switch (dimmable) #38
« on: August 11, 2013, 05:59:21 am »
Im using a CM15A Interface on my core.  I connected the usb cable and it was detected like a charm.  I then added an Light Switch (dimmable) #38, selected the room and set the port/channel number.  reloaded and regenerated orbiters

The light turns off great, but then does not turn back on.  I see the logs for on and off:

08      08/10/13 23:57:30.772           Received Message from 48 (Orbiter / Bedroom (Master)) to 160 (Light Switch (dimmable) / Bedroom (Master)), type 1 id 193 Command:Off, retry none, parameters: <0xaca52b70>
08      08/10/13 23:57:30.772             Parameter 76(Level): 0 <0xaca52b70>

I have an X10 remote that I have used in the past to turn off and on the lights and oddly enough turning the light off via LMCE also makes the remove not work to turn it back on... I have to turn on the switch manually and then the remote works again...

Has anyone been through something like this?

Users / Re: Install Hyper-V drivers on mce

I hate to be one of those people that make a suggest that doesnt really answer the question, but I really dont like M$ and HyperV.  Virtualbox is 100% free and will work ootb with most if not all linux distributions including ubuntu.  Use virtualbox it works great.

Users / Re: HDPVR to MDs
« on: August 04, 2013, 05:42:37 pm »
my mds are using vdpau and HD content from Mythtv (OVA TV) and media stored on the core (MKV H264 1080p video) works grreat.  The problem I have is connecting HD content to the HDPVR to stream to other areas.  like roku -> HDPVR -> core -> mds

on the core the video look great, but to the md it doest. it even freezes xine on the core to the point where i have to restart the core.

I'm trying to stream HD content from a HDPVR over a gigabit network from core to md using xineand the core is giving alot of this:

ffmpeg_video_dec: error decompressing framed   0%  3.0s  384kbps 0,     on
video_out: throwing away image with pts 11712475 because it's too old (diff : 380949).

then Xine on the core seems to eventually crashes yet if I view the content on the core there is (not the mds) theres no poblem this is 10.04 the core has 4gigs of ram and 3 core processos using kernel 2.6.38.  when the video runs on the md the sound is always like 2 - 3 behind; but the video and sound is pretty smooth.

Any Ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Installation issues / Re: USBUIRT not transmitting in 10.04 [solved]
« on: July 31, 2013, 05:16:22 pm »
receiving works fine (altho it seems to cutt out at times), but in general receiving works.  The problem is sending.  The uirt learned the codes from my remote and sometimes testing the commands it'll send, but then it'll suddenly turn off the tv and never send again (even though receiving works).  I believe its the same exact problem you had.

This is marked as solved but I am having the exact same issue on a fresh install of 10.04.  I dont quite understand the solution and I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand.

Users / Re: 1004 xine at 100% cpu
« on: July 29, 2013, 03:59:12 pm »
My factory set bios had gpu memory set at 64mb.  Apparently vdpau did not like this (even though it never complained).  I raised it to 512mb and everything worked great.

So, Zotac IONITX-B-E Single core atom 1.7ghz works on 1004 ootb: HDMI audio/video using vdpau @ 1080P

Users / 1004 xine at 100% cpu [SOLVED]
« on: July 28, 2013, 06:26:38 am »
I just bought an ION motherboard (Zotac IONITX-B-E) and xine hops to 100% cpu when playing hd content.  content that should be handled by vdpau.  This is a fresh installation, what could be wrong?

Ok, I installed kernel-image-2.6.38-10-generic and kernel-headers-2.6.38-10-generic (which have the patched kernel module) and everything worked fine.

**NOTE**

I have a firmware where color saturation is an issue so I added:

Quote
$v4lctl --device="$DevEntry" --set-ctrl brightness=0x80 --set-ctrl contrast=0x40 --set-ctrl hue=0xf --set-ctrl saturation=0x40 --set-ctrl sharpness=0x80
to CaptureCards_SelectInput_HDPVR.sh on line 30 and it did the trick since I dont do channel changes.

I see there was a ticket:

http://svn.linuxmce.org/trac.cgi/ticket/1058

can someone comment on this?

Finally got myself an HDPVR and I thought it was the one supported by lmce, but I'm having the same issue... New install of 1004. same pvr model, Anyone have any info on this?
