32  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: How to name cover images in Music folders ? on: September 03, 2009, 04:22:32 pm
i was under the impression that just placing a .jpg in the folder with the music files was enough, it worked for me anyways. Make sure you go to media files sync and path to the folder and click update and the image should appear.

Randy,
from the console
./create_pluto_dialplan.pl

should work, or

/usr/pluto/bin/create_pluto_dialplan.pl

or if all else fails, open a file browser and path to the file and click it.

the script only takes  a second and it gives no visible feedback so run it then test by making a call to your system.

donpaul,
Im not sure I follow how this allows you to stream music and make calls via SIP from an iphone. What apps are you using?

Dale_k,
Afaik most devices similar to the webDT cost over $1k new... I think the WebDT's are nearly $1800.
That said, im sure that you can find something similar, but are you willing to spend the $$$?

rndinokc,
it is an issue in one of the scripts.

/usr/pluto/bin/create_pluto_dialplan.pl    is missing a semi colon on the second to last line (line 319 in kate)

add the semicolon and then run the script.
Let me know if you dont know how to do any of the above.

38  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: iPhone/iPod Touch Orbiter? on: August 25, 2009, 02:46:11 pm
Hari,
Did you do it as an app that you built with the SDK, or a web app? I would be more that willing to spend some time making an actual iphone app but I would need OSX to run the SDK and i dont have the $$ to drop on a MAC.

39  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Keys dvd.keys.tar.gz on: August 21, 2009, 04:36:20 pm
It was my impression that just playing the movie file would create the new key, no need for the original disk. As long as you have libdvdcss2 installed.

did you reboot after you changed vesa to nvidia?

I usually change the vesa to nvidia, and then reboot into the AV wizard

skeptic,
If you watched the screencasts and follow Thoms advice you set up your design as a new skin. This way you are not messing with UI2 that you use on your production system and it should be safe at least for the basic things that you are talking about doing. This also allows you to select your skin in the web admin for only a certain orbiter so you can test it out while leaving the fully functional skin up in a room that you might need to use. If you only have one room when you are done designing for the day you can just flip that room back to UI2.

Rocketlynx:
There are many of us who now own this thermostat and I believe most of us are interested in the Farenheit conversion. I for one would be willing to chip in to send one of these units to a dev to have the work done the correct way so that the thermostat would be fully functional ie: works in both F and C and allows the user to see the current temp from the orbiter and (+,-) one degree and set a specific temp.

At one point Hari and I had worked out a recipient for this deal and he agreed to do the coding if we sent that person a thermostat for testing (unfortunately that person doesn't have central heat and air). So what I recommend is if Hari is still willing, would be to buy a test unit send it to whoever Hari selects and let him do the work since he is the expert in this field.

Hari: let us know if you are still interested and if the conditions are agreeable

Anyone who has this thermostat: state if you would be interested in donating to see this thing fully functional.

45  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: DVD Chapters on: August 13, 2009, 10:15:13 pm
The chapters should be added automatically, and there is an option to name them if they dont already have a name.
If you are looking to add extra chapters, then I have no idea and would be suprised if its even possible. You can however add bookmarks which will tell LMCE to go to a certain spot on the DVD. Not sure what your are actually trying to accomplish.
