31  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Add program to media menu? on: April 17, 2009, 04:07:47 pm
hey seth thanks for the reply, but i was hoping to find a way to add it as a media type next to video/audio/tv etc, instead of the computing option which thom said was an afterthought.  I wanted ktorrents to be more integrated instead of the duct tape type deal so it could be used in an orbiter.  now if i'm totally off please do correct me on this.  i do appreciate your input.  Grin

34  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: PVR 150 on LiuxMCE myth not working error on: April 08, 2009, 04:21:41 pm
Govo,

Select computing on the Linuxmce menu->
capture cards->add new card->switch pvr 150 v4l to mpeg2->
sources->add source for cable provider->
connections->select tuner 1->select your provider->scan for channels

I was trying to save some money and chose the pvr over the hdhomerun, but after the picture quality issues and lack of power supply to add the pvr150, instead of buying a new case/power supply i might as well just get the hdhomerun with dual tuner. just a suggestion.

@colin jones

So selecting the linuxmce structure for the harddrive will not effect playback on a pc/windowz as suggested by the prompt?

no, perhaps i misunderstood.  Am i to change the eth1 to eth4? currently the onboard chip may be the eth4 listed in the network settings that i enabled (but disables if i reboot), am i to change the eth1 listed in the iftab to eth4?
