Good day gentleman,

I had a problem with my original Abit AN-M2HD's video chip or bios chip.  The board was working fine until the chip crapped out.  I bought the very same board and installed the same components.  Everything was working great with the original board set up with dual lan and all.  Same setup with new board.  pci ethernet card connected directly to internet. Onboard lan connected to switch->md's, spa 3102, etc.  I can get onto the internet but the core is not supplying a dchp to the md's. Again, the only thing different is the mainboard. What can i do? ???

Hey dude I had to jump in here and save you from the wrath of certain people on this board.

"The W960i is a 3G and Wi-Fi mobile with a touchscreen-controlled interface. It uses the Symbian UIQ smartphone platform."

If you want to check which phones are s60 v1 and v2:

http://www.s60.com/life/s60phones/browseDevices.do

Be very careful of what you post. The majority of the people on this board a very nice and willing to help, but there are a few who will jump on you and it will become a flame war (search the forums), especially if you don't read the wiki or search the forums.

Is this something that can be achieved through remote access to a computer connected to a pc1616 and a it-100 or is it necessary to have the units on hand? ???

yep, i looked into the gc100 and saw that price also.  The DSC it-100 is $53 and it makes more sense for me to buy that considering my alarm monitoring in included in my HOA fees.  I read somewhere on here where another DSC 1616 linuxmce user had the same predicament, where spending $300+ for wireless sensors for a large home would cost over one thousand $ because PIR's were not sensible for at home monitoring.  I assume, like my home, that every door and window upstairs and downstairs has sensors (i have 35 windows and 4 doors), so  it is senseless to spend money on a additional unmonitored system(monitor by yourself). Can anyone of you computer brains read my prior replies and tell me which method is best suitable to get the IT-100 working with Linuxmce?  I'm a newbie at linux period, but i'm willing to learn, just point me in the right direction.  ???

By the way, here is the developers guide for the it-100

Frostcall, i assume you have already acquired the DSC IT-100 rs232 device?  I have no experience with Ruby, but i was going to ask whether or not it would be possible to adapt the existing DSC Maxsys template to our PC1616. Another thought was somehow using the DSC 5401 driver from Misterhouse considering that the 5401 was the predecessor of the IT-100 and i was told it was the same device with added capabilites and cheaper. The Homeseer software(windows) has a driver for the IT-100 also.  I Live in a new neighborhood with 1500 homes and many communites from various developers have the same DSC all pre-installed with the pc1616 so the dsc system seems to be common in newer homes. With the number of people I've seen in the forums requesting a alarm panel, i think this could be a good system to add to linuxmce.  I have been trying decipher all the ruby and 6100 template, but i'm no computer genius like Hari, zaerc and Thom, so i have a long way to go  ;D

Users / Re: Can not use media or lighting map on UI2-Alpha blended MD??
« on: February 06, 2009, 01:57:24 am »
I can confirm the issue on my system also.  It is a shame because even though i've read a couple post stating that alpha-blending is overrated, every individual i have showed linuxmce off to has negative reviews for the ui1 and ui2 overlays. They say that they prefer alpha blending for aesthetics and it helps to hide the fact that the "selections don't fit in the rows" ;D

Just from reading many posts, I know I'm looking at getting my head handed to me by certain individuals.  Solely for hardware purchasing purposes, i'm asking for a guestimation as to when 8.10 will be in beta/final release.  Now please, like i said, i'm only asking for a guestimation because i am looking at purchasing hardware that works with kubuntu 8.10 and not 7.10 and the timing of the beta release may sway my decision.   In addition, there a few fixes in the upcoming releases that i would just wait for, before i go trying to fix them and screw my core up. Thanks guys. ;D

lol, yeah i meant whether or not the bluetooth was enabled on the phone it just says waiting for connection and the dongle loops in installation until i swapped out with the the new libcommon. Now it fails at 80% saying the device failed and i have to press ok. any thoughts as to why the dlink is not even detected but listed as working in the wiki? ;D

the javamo on the phone says waiting for connection, but even if i don't have bluetooth enabled on the phone it just loops in the install when i plug in the no name adapter.  Do you have any idea why my other dlink adapter would not even be detected?  in addition to that, since i changed the libcommon.so file, it gets to starting up the adapter, and then says device failed. do you have any idea what this means....05   12/03/08 20:08:31.748      BDCommandProcessor_Linux_Bluetooth is destroyed.
