Users / Re: RS232 not detected
« on: April 14, 2011, 04:51:20 pm »
I use a usb to RS232 adapter and that's not even detected.  I remember the last time I built the core it wouldn't stop detecting it now it doesn't see it at all.  Can some one tell me what the device template for a usb to RS232 adapter is? Name or number would suffice.

To answer your question, I tried but couldn't find the device template.  Maybe I just don't know how to setup a COM port.

perhaps i may be wrong in doing this, but all i did was look for my model of tv. after that the wizard came up. unfortunately, it is either not sending the commands or the tv is not responding to the commands. I did go to admin, went to the Acquos template, went to COM port on pc tried selecting the port. I tried both /dev/ttyS0 and /dev/ (pci0000:00/0000:00:06.0+1).  you guys are a lot my more in the know so please don't hesitate to tell what i did wrong. but maybe this could help somebody else.

am i right to assume that you added the template? was there anything that needed to be adjusted in the template or something? how did you check to see if the commands were being sent? are the devs working on getting this fixed, cause i would just wait and update the system?

Users / need help please..Fatal error: mysql error
« on: January 08, 2011, 01:49:51 am »
hello, After adding a touch orbiter to my core and then then back onto the admin site, i try to select anything but i get:

"Fatal error: mysql error: [1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '? ORDER BY Description ASC' at line 3] in EXECUTE(" SELECT Room.Description, PK_Room FROM Room WHERE Room.FK_Installation=? ORDER BY Description ASC") in /var/www/lmce-admin/include/adodb/adodb-errorhandler.inc.php on line 77"

After reading the forums i was hoping that maybe someone can tell me there is a better solution than reinstalling lmce. everything works fine, its that error message when trying to do anything on the admin site. thanks in advance

Ahey guys, i just wanted to verify whether or not floorplans have been completely removed from ui2 alpa blending. I am aware the known bug regarding layer of multiple floorplans, but i was able to at least have the 1st floor show up in ui2ab. Now nothing shows up and i'm using the same floor plan i was using months ago.  can anybody tell me if they have theirs showing up in ui2 in the latest snapshot please. thank you.

Read more and keep searching.  You'll find solutions that others have:  http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=10946.msg75724#msg75724

J.

I Actually did spend quite a bit of time looking for a solution, unfortunately after altering the sources list 4 times not including the one listed in your most recent post, I still have been unable to resolve the issue. The error message noted above ends the script. I installed the november 1st snapshot, which led to the broken dce router issue noted on the boards. The July snapshot worked great, but the sources list issue does not allow for a successful run of the md script. If there is a solution that has worked for anyone, I would greatly appreciate the help, thanks guys.

Good day to all, i was forced into linuxmce exile and i'm back trying to get my system back up and running from the latest snapshot. I've been reading up on all the changes and let me say thanks to all who have contributed to this project. good work guys. I have the core setup ok, other than the source list list issues which i somewhat resolved with this post:

http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=10917.0.
i was having trouble with the MD script /usr/pluto/bin/Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh before changing the source list. it would loop with the common crt-c request.  anyway, now now it gets to the point where the md script ends with a "Password for root on localhost?" request.  i'm not sure what the issue is, can someone help an old lmce junky out, i've been going through withdrawal symptoms lol.

You guys are aware that someone made a svn commit with an apk file right?  Looks to be JavaMO ported to Android.

Any updates gentlemen?  Just want to know before I waste my time on something that's already close to completion.

Check here and search the forum. I don't have one myself, but from reading the forums, the hdhomerun seems to be the best choice.
