Hi, is this needed for changing the source code, so it will work for others too ? Because it is already working now with entries from here : http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/User_Manual:JudderFreeMaybe these codes should be taken as basis because they seem to work with a lot of TV's. I mean - if EDID is not delivering something usable ;-) The only thing I have not got working is tearing free playback of TV. On my old 0810 I have got REALLY god tearing and juddering free VDPAU accelerated mythtv playback :-) Greetings Viking

Hi, Will try to execute it later this evening on the MD directly. would informations from >Xorg.0.log be enough ? The problem is that they are not perfekt, some rangesare too small. But 1080p / 50hz should be OK. Hi, tested 1004. I could not setup 1080p 50hz in AV wizard on my MD. On the first boot 1080p did not work at all. Probably soemthing with the Nvidia driver beeing updated? (does it reboot after that? I did not stay with the screen all the time). I did then setup 720p and that worked. On the second boot where i activated the AV wizard again from within advanced setings I could choose 1080p and it showed something, but I assume it used 720p size as the AV wizard was not completely shown a part of it was outside the "TV screen". this time I also tried 24 and 60hz, but the did not work in 1080p either. Hi, I have a request. It is already now possible to do this in 0810 using MythTV video plugin for playback of video content (see links below). But it would be realy nice if LiunxMCE could do this when playing media. I am pretty sure that all of you have some kind of juddering (or stuttering) when playing media that is 23.97Hz (Hz is also frames per second) or 59.94Hz (NTSC) or 50Hz (PAL). Try all of them and you will see that in camera pan where the movie is moving sidewards. If you have setup 24Hz and the movie is 23.97hz, then only every 100 picture will stop for a splitsecond. So you will have to have a pan in the movie of more than 4 seconds !! At other rates the juddering might be higher! But I know for some it is REALLY difficult to see it. It is probably easier in the dark. Here you can download some trailers to test with http://www.h264info.com/clips.htmlThe first "I Am Legend – 1080p Trailer" is ok for testing - take it to 0:49 seconds and watch the top of the TV, you will see that it judders just a little when the movies pans up in the city or in the gras a little later. If you setup xorg.conf as descried in the mythtv.org link, you can setup 23.97 hz with "xrandr -d 0:0 -r 53" (can be done though ssh) then play it again and you will see that it is really smooth :-) change back to 50hz with "xrandr -d 0:0 -r 50" or 60hz with "xrandr -d 0:0 -r 51". You can pause the clip and then rewind and change forth and back. I am sure you will then see the difference. That is not at all normal. Changing names should not do any of this, and has not when I rename. The only thing that has ever crashed the wizard for me was zwave a while back, but that was resolved a long time ago.
The Danish keyboard is the only thing that seems different. I will see if someone can try and reproduce this error... otherwise it was a fluke/related to some other hardware being discovered and locking once a room was created.
This is why Sarah says "Don't start plugging in your devices just yet" for the record. Can you tell me what else was attached once you created rooms? I lean towards that as an answer.
Hi, this is on my test system, where there is only an DVB-s av7110 card in it besides the normal Nvidia card and two gigabit network cards. No remote control or anything else. Regards Viking

Hi,
just for the next having this problem. In my installation the Setup wizard crashed when changing the room names. So if that also happens in your case. Better start over with the installation.
VDR is not removed and they are now both there. VDR was running and therefore it had it's hands on the DVB-s card. Causeing some trouble ;-)

Hi,
tried the LMCE-1004-20120623013626110 - here it booted.
It is probably a bad idea to change the names of the rooms while in the setup wizard , at least it crashed here and started over. That means that MythTV was not installed and maybe other things are not OK.
What I did. Keyboard language danish, selected two rooms "linving room" and "garage". Tried to rename garage to "Work room", pressed shift W on the screen keyboard and the "ork" fast on the keyboard. Then I only had a small video on the screen and after some time the wizard started all over, but remembering my choises. Another thing, while entering the letters with the on-screen keyboard offen i did get letters from another row on the keyboard. Meaning instaed of "k" i woul get an "i" and so on.
Later I discovered that MythTV was not installed.
