Hi,
on German ebay I found some with 256MB RAM :) apparently they have more than 10 in store :
http://cgi.ebay.de/Tablet-PC-Fujitsu-Stylistic-LT-C-500-15GB-256MB-500-MHz_W0QQitemZ140294889505QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDE_Technik_Computer_Peripherieger%C3%A4te_Notebooks?hash=item140294889505&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1229|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1308

In that auktion there are some links (have not had time to check them). Original text (translated below) :

Hi Hari,

but I assume only for things attached to the switch/dimmer. Just like the Innovus ones.

Hi,

I found the "try /etc/pluto/xine.conf" tipp somewhere else and already tried that. But maybe I did not find the right switches to play with. Some of the settings are marked as deprecated. Those I did not test yet. But until now I did not see any improvement.

Does anybody know if I must do a "quick reload" before the xine.conf settings are used ? Or are they used the next time one play something ?

If I find out something I will keep you informed :)

Hi Cirion,

As I told in the other thread, I have got the  Qtek sort of running, but it does not allways really use the full resolution and also not using the touch screen. And there are - as you say probably some issuses using it.
have you got any tipps for getting it running and using the touch screen ?
At the moment it starts up a smaller area where it shows the same orbiter as on the Nokia phones (at least i recognise that from pictures I saw somewhere) - but the media list sometimes shows a bigger area - at least in the 480 direction. (Qtek has 480x640 just like the Diamond - which I also have) And once I had a Media list filling up the whole 480x640.

Looking forward to getting this up and running :)

Hi Cirion,

Yes I already saw the other thread - and answered that I look forward to it :)

I have got the  Qtek sort of running, but it does not allways really use the full resolution and also not using the touch screen. And there are - as you say probably some issuses using it. But lets move to your thread with that :) I would like to hear what you have found out ...

Viking: I can take some photos of the orbiters side by side if you want.
That would be really nice. I assume others would like to see the difference also :) Maybe we can also put them in the wiki.

Thanks

Hi,

yes, the "current cost monitor" looks like a nice device. But I havn't got any time investigating. I should rather bee painting my walls at the moment instead of writing this ;)

Hi Hari,

OK, thanks a lot for the infos - now I am a lot more informed about Z-Wave :)

I will test it one of the day and tell if it works :) I am now into planning and doing other things in my new house - such as New Bathroom and other more or less interesting things ;)

Hi Thom,

Thanks for infos. The instant-on of the N810 and maybe also the keyboard appeals me :)

But maybe it is to small - can one control lightning and other things with this one ? Have you got a picture of the N810 showing the media listing ? That will probalby be quite small ..

I have got my hands on a cheap Qtek 9000 with Windows Mobile version 5.0 (OS 5.1.195) 480x640 resolution - but it does not seem to be able to run the Windows mobile orbiter correctly  :(   (maybe I should open a topic on that)
But that device is around the same size as the N810 i see now :

Hi,

yeah, could be quite interesting if my house control saves me money or costs more - but adds comfort ;)

Hi Hari,

Ok, found how to reset the remote in the 200zw manual. And the USB Stick I have to send the command "reset" I assume.

How can I test that ?
I have only got two zwave devices at the moment and they are already included ;) Can I just delete them in the Webinterface below lightning ? Probably not from what I have read.

And what happens if I move a zwave device to another room. Can I just change the room description and move it to the new room in the room plan ? The 200ZW manual says that one should  "first Exclude it from the network, then Include it back to the network after you have re-located it.".

The 200ZW manual tells how to exclude things :

Excluding Devices from a Network
1. Put the Configuration Switch in “Configuration Mode”.
2. Press-and-hold “Up” Operation button for 2 seconds to enter Configuration Mode. LED Indicator will illuminate Green.
3. Short-press the “Down” Operation Button one time to put the device into Exclusion Mode.
4. Press the Exclusion Initiator of the Device to be Excluded (normally the same button as the Inclusion Initiator).
5. LED Indicator on the Remote will illuminate Green when device is successfully excluded and illuminate Red if the operation is unsuccessful.
Repeat steps 2-5 for each Device to be Excluded from the Network.

But what then afterwards ? Send command "download configuration" ? Or also reset both devices ?

Thanks a lot that you take the time to answer :)
I will "reward it" by updating the wiki accordingly so the next will know what to do.

Hi,

I have recorded some things using DVB-T in denmark and it plays very well when using VDR recordings menu.
But replaying them with the Media listing looks awfull. Lots of Interlacing around Peoples bodies and elsewhere :(

VDR was changed in setup.conf to use tvtime :
xineliboutput.Video.Deinterlace = tvtime
xineliboutput.Video.DeinterlaceOptions = method=GreadyH,cheap_mode=0,pulldown=none,framerate_mode=full,judder_correction=1,use_progressive_frame_flag=1,chroma_filter=0,enabled=1

Btw. found a link explaining the options (someone asked in another topic) : http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/vdr/2008-July/017296.html

How can I change the the normal replay to also do interlacing ?

Btw. would it be possible to remove the resume.vdr files from the media listing, does not look very nice ;)

Thanks a lot to everybody working on integrating VDR into LinuxMCE :)

Hi Tim and Thom,

thanks for confirming :)

How fast are the WebDT and the N810 booting ?
Is the display of the N810 to small ?

Hi nosebreaker ,
Thanks for answering :)

It has a 500MHz Celeron and 128MB of ram (256MB models available).  It can watch youtube videos in firefox and it browses fine, it just takes a few minutes to boot.  I don't notice lag from when I click pause or volume or anything, it seems fast enough.  I bought a 2nd Wireless AP just for LMCE, so there isn't much else on this network.  Oh, since it is Win2k it supports wireless encryption too (not sure about WPA2 but WPA at least).
OK, sound good :) yeah, windows is not booting that fast ;) I saw somwhere that one could also install Win XP or Linux on it.

The only downside I have is that if it suspend/resume the wifi card stops working, but acts like it hasn't (so apps timeout).  You have to either unplug/replug the PCMCIA wifi card or reboot it.
That is a showstopper :( My wife will kill me if it doesn't work after switching it on ;)

Also mine was used quite a bit, so I have to click harder on icons in the bottom left, I can't always use my fingers on the touchscreen (I have to use the pen).
So you can't use the fingers because it is quite used - or because of what ?
