Users / DCERouter Delay function
« on: July 04, 2011, 09:20:13 pm »
Hi people.

I think there's a simple question, but i got stuck in this situation, using the router delay function.
The situation is that i use a CM15A X10 controller that works fine with all signals, on off and dimer, but i had created a lighting scenario in one of my MD to do:
-Switch on upstairs light
-Switch off all lights in salon
-Wait 120 seconds
-Switch off upstairs light

All is done ok, also the last off command for the upstairs light but using the DCeRouter Delay and set it to 120 seconds (In the comment for the parameter it say that the value is in Seconds) never wait directly switch off the light.
I tried the value in minutes setting it to 2, in seconds set it to 120 and in miliseconds set it to 120000, because i had read in some post and wiki that could be in all three, but never get a good result.
Any comments?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the coments.

In all ways i think that is not just change to this new modules, also i think the plugin for the CM15A should be re-writted to read the status bits, Am i ok?

Regards

PS. I'm having a look regarding the code

Hi to all friends,

As the post title i will explain my case:
All my X10 installation is working OK from the begining, wall oulets and lights, but if i change the state from a normal on/off module (in example the AW12 from marmitek) from the wall switch the new state is not updated in the Router if i understand well. I don't know if is problem in the router, the module by itshelf due to a not send the status to CM15A or a code implementation that doesn't read the status of modules.

Somebody have some answer? Is just to go in one way to try solve it.

Hi again friends,

As the title of the post is showing, i want to reinstall LMCE from the beginning, but i don´t want to spend a lot of time configuring again the system, couse it's a litlle bit big.
I think if i backup de databases from pluto and the MD kernel boot images should be enough or is not possible to do like that?

Any suggestions will be wellcome

Erwin thanks for your patient,

Yes it is OK, i have it with both fornteds 0:0 for the DVB-S and 0:1 for the DVB-T, I had configure both fronteds in the setup-->capture cards, but only i use 0:1 for the DVB-T.
Mythtv is the last version 0.22 updated from lmce repos this week, also what i had configured in the setup of mythtv is the references regarding the country from the US to Spain, all the rest are by default. There are something to set more in the setup?

Lexje,
The firmware is upload OK at least it says tail, during the channel scan i was doing when tail was running.
Dec 30 11:08:57 dcerouter kernel: [ 1249.644160] cx24116_firmware_ondemand: Waiting for firmware upload (dvb-fe-cx24116.fw)...

Dec 30 11:09:23 dcerouter kernel: [ 1275.832518] EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode.

In this case i am trying with the firmware 1.23 that runs on kaffeine, but also i had tryed with the 1.20 firmware instead with the same result.
I  didn'yt tryed to do a scan with the fronted 0 (DVB-S) just with the frontend 1 (DVB-T), cuase i haven't satellit antenna for the moment, but i get another error when the scan window appears in this frontend "Error parsing parameters"

Mandingo,
When i finish to install the card and runs i will help you with the template, but for the momment in my case it doesn't run.

Lexje,

i had arrived until i think you were.
Mythtv recognize the HVR-4000 with no problems but when i try to find channels in the adapter 0 frontend 1 (DVB-T) mythtv didn't find any channels.
I followed your explanations about the firmware, and i tryed with the 1.20 and 1.23 also. Kaffeine have no problems to run with both firmwares, but mythtv stucks in the channels search. I got every time that i do a scan the same message, "frequency XX offset 1 --> time out signal"

Any suggestions?

The problem was just the Hz i set it to 60 and it should be in 50 for my country (Seems to be like that)
Now i have another problem, there's no audio over HDMI.

Thanks a lot in advance,

But i think the problems are the drivers, i have another generic PC that doesn't function over HDMI also, in the alpha testing it was running perfectly with the same harware and if i remember well the nvidia driver was 180.
I installed the version 180, but when i boot up again the system checks the version and found 180, until here ok, but next step is upgrade it and the system do it automatic, how can i maintain 180 version?

Dear All,

I read a lot in the forum regarding that mini PC, but i didn´t found the solution.
I am using it like a MD, with Diskless boot over the 8.10 Beta2.
The first thing was it cannot boot up cause the Atheros driver for the wifi, cause i don´t use the wifi, i followed some explanations regarding that done by Totally, i had removed the restricted drivers for the wifi from the diskless image in the core and it works perfectly. At the end it booted up and all is OK, but when i re do the AV Wizard and try to change to de HDMI output, i have no output. When i select HDMI in the AV wizard swith to the input HDMI in the TV and also disconect the VGA cable from the revo, and switch the TV to de HDMI input and nothing appears.

Some sugestions more?

It is a "European version" Revo the Nvidia driver is the 190, i don´t know what can i do more?

Posde:

I had updated the Text_LS table according to the new beta 2 and adding the translation from the AV wizard at 90%.
I had opened a ticket: http://svn.linuxmce.org/trac.cgi/ticket/530#preview
But like i told in the ticket a cannot upload it due to oversize reasons, the dump have 383Kb ad the maximum allowed is 264KB.

Thanks in advance

Hi again,

I have another question regarding that.
If i have some drivers or modules to load for this screen, can i do a diskless boot? and when and from where are the drivers load?

I think in this case is the same question like another drivers that should be loaded indepedent from the LinuxMCE system.

In resume and going out a litle bit out from the main post, if i need to load another drivers outside from the LinuxMCE what i need to do? Install Kubuntu in the MD and load the drivers in?
Every time i tryed to do that never had started the MD, in the first boot later to install LinuxMCE from Kubuntu, and the LinuxMCE installed had detected the Core and i answered that this PC is a MD, i get some errors and at the end starts Kubuntu but no LinuxMCE.

I think i had deviated the post, if it´s this case i will open a new post.

Thnks in advance
