Hi,

BTW, on snap 20120608011426058 when my Revo MD was announced to the router (auto detected - no manual running of TBZ) and everything downloaded/installed, after AVWizard selections I had HDMI audio and 1080p video.

Cheers

Hi,

I downloaded snapshot 20120608011426058.

From the menu on the unit MD named Home Theatre when I go to Power and select power off it shuts down.

From the menu on the Core/Hybrid when I select power off for "Core" MD it shuts down.

Cheers

Hi,

Have used a Revo with HDMI for some time now.

Usually had to play with it at times (alsa) but it has always worked 8.10 and above.

Cheers.

Hi,

Simple setup - MD is Revo 330 to TV via HDMI.  Sound and Video.

Optical out on Revo is ONLY for a receiver.

TV's only usually have optical out and/or analog out in one form or another i.e. RCA white/red or 1/8 inch mini-jack out.

But, you have to get the audio to the TV first, and then if you want - out to your receiver.

For the simple REVO setup - no HDMI, no receiver = no sound on TV.

Cheers

Hi,

I guess the key question is "what are you trying to accomplish in the first place?".

That will determine what you REALLY need.

I believe there are some Linux - ZFS porting issues?.

Hi,

What's the problem?

Do you get kstartupconfig4 xmessage?
41  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: How to kill x server on: May 14, 2012, 01:16:55 pm
Hi,

Off the top of my head try...

press Alt+Ctrl+F1, and log into workspace 1 and execute this...

init3

or try...

sudo /etc/init.d/kdm stop

Hope it works.

Thanks.

HI,

sudo chown -R $USER:  ~/.kde

worked for the Hybrid Desktop.

Thanks.

Should I download latest snap or go apt update/upgrade?

Cheers.

Hi,

Sorry, but the reason I thought my system was pooched was because it would boot into F1 dcerouter prompt after trying to start F7.

So it may have been .conf related,

Cheers.

Hi,

O.K. that's sounds like it "installing nvidia driver for (whatever your card is)".

I'll reload from scratch, reboot, try it out.

Quote
If you delete xorg.conf and xorg.conf.pluto.avwizard after avwizard failure, things go much more smoothly... except that stoopid nvidia failure to reboot. Looking into it.

I'll try other things, record results, then delete the .conf stuff if necessary.

I need to figure out my ethernet issue along the way.

Thanks guys.

More than happy to test. More than happy to help.

Cheers
