Installation issues / Re: PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout
« on: April 24, 2015, 10:57:16 pm »
Hi phenigma,

I have audio/video on Core/MD but MD doesn't.

Will check /etc/asound.conf file and the /etc/pluto/xine.conf files between the Core/MD and MD first.

Then compare un-upgraded 20141002114429514 Core and MD against upgraded Core/MD and MD.

Cheers.

O.K.

So my MD was created.  Videos show my ID3 tags but when I select a movie to play, screen go black [like it's gonna play a movie] but I end up @ main menu.

Looks like "by weekend" is optimistic.

Cheers.

Hi phenigma,

I did an autoremove sometime during the qoribiter issue.

I am presently trying to replicate on my dev system.

So far my NAS is fine so it doesn't appear to be a DHCP/detection issue.

O.K.  So my MD was discovered and is being created.

So what was the issue?

Was it having a pre-existing MD before the upgrade?

I will have to reload my main system from scratch, build a MD, then update and test.

I should have results by the weekend.

Cheers.

Installation issues / PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout
« on: April 21, 2015, 08:47:02 pm »
Hi,

Did all the latest updates/upgrades etc.

Tried to boot an existing MD and got...

CLIENT MAC ADDR: etc
CLIENT IP: etc
GATEWAY ID: etc
TFTP ....   which gave a PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout  error message.

Then,  TFTP ..... tries again and after about 5 minutes I receive

3X  PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout messages and
      exiting NVidia Boot agent

System reboots.

Cheers.

« on: April 21, 2015, 05:03:02 pm »
Hi,

Sorry.  I forgot to mention that pluto-orbiterinstaller has been kept back as well.

update, upgrade or dist-upgrade doesn't install the package.

p.s.  The 404 errors are because there is no /precise/universe/ directory.

Cheers.

Hi,

I had to reinstall 12.04.  I did an update/upgrade and am now getting...

http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/dists/precise/universe/binary-i386/Packages

404 not found errors.

/etc/apt/sources.list has deb http://deb.linuxmce.org/ubuntu/ precise main universe

Hi

On initial startup - [fail]

 * Starting SMB/CIFS File and Active Directory Server

All other processes [OK].

The Nvidia driver installation begins and ends and the requires a reboot.

(With the results from previous post).

Hi,

If it helps at all...

Hitting <ESC> at "fancy" Ubuntu splash show our startup processes.

So the startup launches a bunch of processes and loads the Nvidia driver.

Then you'll get the please stand by while your system is rebooted message.

Then it attemps to stop   - Restart_Myth_Backend /usr/pluto/bin/Restart_Myth_Backend.sh
         - LinuxMCE linuxmce
         - discovery /usr/pluto/bin/discovery.py
         - Orbiter /usr/pluto/bin/Spawn_Device.sh
         - LMCE launch Manager /user/pluto/bin/LaunchManagerDaemon.sh
         - DCERouter /usr/pluto/bin/Spawn_DCERouter.sh
         - XWindowsSystem /usr/pluto/bin/Start_X_Wrapper.sh
         - Gamepad Radar /usr/pluto/bin/Gamepad_Detect.sh
         - NFS Radar /usr/pluto/bin/StorageDevices_NFSRadar.sh
         - Samba Radar /usr/pluto/bin/StorageDevices_SambaRadar.sh
         - Storage Status Radar /usr/pluto/bin/StoageDevices_StatusRadar.sh
         - Voicemail Monitor /usr/pluto/bin/VoiceMailMonitor.sh
         - PNP MD Plugin (interactor) /usr/pluto/bin/Start_NewMD_interactor.sh

who [fail]

         - Dhcpd Plugin /usr/pluto/bin/Dhcpd-Plugin.sh

who [OK]

then

*

Hi,

Just got back from work and tried again.

Doesn't matter from the GNU GRUB version 2.02~beta2-9ubuntu1 menu screen if I select *Ubuntu or Advanced options for Ubuntu.

The "fancy" Kubuntu splash appears, not the LMCE Kubuntu 14.04 splash, and the system cold reboots (BIOS splash) and loads the GNU GRUB screen again.

MD5sum's checked out on the iso's.  Something seems borked.

If you'd like me to try anything, please advise.

Regards.

Hi.

I downloaded and installed this snap.

It loads and after restart provides the Ubuntu GRUB select screen.

After selecting Ubuntu it runs (for a bit), but then loops back to Ubuntu GRUB select screen.

Cheers

Hi,

I will take a peek at installing ubuntu trusty on a microSD.  I should be able to shoe-horn onto a 16gig card.  If not I'll pick up a 32.

I have Android running on one mSD.  Fedora 20 on another.

I am working nights this w/e so hopefully will have some news next week.

Cheers.
