Yes, I added the following just under the [public] entry in /usr/pluto/templates/smb.conf.template

[mythtv]
        browseable = yes
        writable = no
        path = /home/public/data/videos/tv_shows_1
        public = yes

But when I reboot that section is not in /etc/samba/samba.conf

Any suggestions?  I'm desperate :)

No that's not normal. Can you even see the share name in the media grid, same as for video?

In video everything works like I want.  I see the share and when I go into the share I see all the subdirectories and can navigate properly.

In audio and pictures I see the share name but when I go into it I only see the relevant files in the share itself (don't see any subdirectories but it's the subdirectories that contain 99% of the media I want to have available).

Is this how it's supposed to work?

Is there any more info on this problem?  Until my MCE setup is 100% complete I'm still using XBMC to connect back to my Myth box (which is now my MCE box) but this requires a samba share to be set up.  I can get it set up and it works.  I even edited every smb.conf on the system (even the Pluto templates) but the real smb.conf file gets reset after every reboot.

When browsing by filename (my preference), I can go into subdirectories when browsing video but not for audio or pictures (all media is public).   Does this happen to anyone else?

Users / Bluetooth with Orbiter Problem
« on: May 16, 2008, 03:54:36 pm »
I have 2 WM2003 PDAs and 1 WM2003 phone.  All 3 are xscale processors.  When I enable BT my MD sees the phones and asks to add them.

It asks if it's a Windows Mobile device or Windows Mobile 2005 device.  If I choose WM then all 3 devices get the file but when I go to run the cab file it says it's not a valid CE application.  If I choose WM2005 then the devices get the cab and it installs but when I go to run Pluto Orbiter it says it's not a valid CE application.

I then tried downloading the install from the web interface for the appropriate device (wm xscale cpu).  Those install fine and I can get them to work when sych'd with my computer (sharing network access with my computer).  I cannot figure out how to get them to sych with BT and control the MDs using BT.

Can anyone please provide any help?
