Just a thought ... are you including the full IP address in the path or just '/snapshot.cgi?'.

I think you need the full IP address.

There is a snapshot.cgi too. You could try that first.

Let us know if it works and I'll update the wiki.

Users / DVB Headers/Drivers
« on: March 17, 2011, 11:21:44 am »
Hi guys,

I'm trying to find the location of the dvb headers so that I can compile sasc-ng with mythtv as described here.
http://dolot.kipdola.com/wiki/Install_SASC-NG#Configuring_and_compiling

As lmce drivers are custom compiled by the devs (v4l?) this location is required or the module fails with "disagrees about version of symbol ...".

Can anyone help please?

Funny you should ask...

I just dug out my old Satellite receiver (a technomate 9100) and hooked it up to the internal network.

I couldn't access the web frontend of the STB and I couldn't get it to go on the internet ...... UNTIL I added it to the external network and it works fine. Sound familiar?

I'm beginning to think it is not related to the Foscam camera but to DHCP. It might be that there is a problem with dhcp and most users only experience the problem when adding IP devices.

Of course I may be completely wrong but I'm out of ideas.

My camera is stable hooked up to my external network.

Hi Josh,

If you can view the stream in a browser it should work.
http://<CAMERA_IP_ADDRESS>/videostream.cgi?user=XXXXX&pwd=XXXXX

The template needs to be carefully followed and you need to have your path, user and password in the device data. All the ruby code does is construct the above link from the device data.

Looking at the '#84 Get video frame' script it looks like the 'path' might have to be in this format.
http://<CAMERA_IP_ADDRESS>/videostream.cgi?

Hope this helps.

As the title says .... I have a twin tuner HVR 2200 for DVB-T which works fine.

Question is ... Can I add a DVB-S card and run it with mythtv at the same time?

I have seen this too. I have a stable build from a few months ago and haven't updated for a while. Recently (few days ago, maybe Sunday) I did a backup and then update/upgraded. My package list was long and was over 480MB.

I allowed it to complete and I got exactly what you're describing. Regenerated Orbiter (100%) then just sits there.

I have returned to my backup now, but I can confirm the same problem from my recent update attempt..

Just added a couple of lines to the wiki. Firstly, to explain the downgrade process I performed in order for my device to appear.

Secondly, to add that the 'squeezebox player' can, and usually should, be added to a room with no md.

Thanks Andrew,

Did a restart this morning and it was still OK but will keep an eye on it.

Need to spend some time to integrate it fully ... but as of now I have my core providing zone 2 sound using my n800. I'm impressed that mute and vol-up, vol-down work ... presumably using alsa.

Many thanks to everyone involved.

Working!  ;D

Just need to configure my zone2 on my Denon 2310 located with the core. LMCE constantly surprises me. Thank you for this thread or I might never have known about this solution. Simply awesome!

FYI the cheaper ebay usb sound card works just as well as the more expensive version I got from amazon. Both are c-media devices.

Thanks guys.

Trying again now. Assigned squeezebox player to bathroom.

Thanks Richard, I know you had these problems yourself.

That squeezebox -L command was executed after I'd launched squeezeslave with device 3 (c-media usb sound card) and it is no longer on the list. It was there before added the command to rc.local and restarted.

Also, how does the core know where the usb soundcard is if I assign it to the bathroom?

Any ideas?

OK. Got the usb card recognised by downgrading alsa ;D, but now having problems with squeezeslave ???.

Following the wiki I wasn't sure where to attach the squeezeslave to. My core is in the kitchen with the usb soundcard attached. Should my squeezebox player be assigned to this room? The entertain area is the bathroom (just speakers).

Here is my output from squeezeslave -L with some errors:
