Your Karma just grew. Another few years and you'll be back to zero.

I hope you are using the Web Admin to create the RAID.
Yes, I wouldn't do it any other way :)

I have an existing 1TB raid one array which I am removing (in web admin) and replacing with a raid five using an additional 1TB drive.

You will be able to carry over your Software RAID. And in 0810, you will have even more functionality in the web admin for your RAID.
That's great news. Thanks for the info.

I am about to install a software raid 5 array in my core. Still running 710.

Given that we are moving towards lmce 810 ... will my data be safe for the migration or should I be looking at an external NAS solution?

I have the same set-up with a windows vista on the internal lan. I connect via the ip address 192.168.80.1 as dcerouter doesn't work for me. You could try that.

Only other thing is the format of the username in your graphic. Mine is JUST the name (in your case Robert) without the dcerouter\.

Hope this helps.

Hi Seth.
It might be a caching issue as she was trying to move several gigabytes of data. Still not sure though. If I figure it out I'll report back.

My wife's wind*ws computer has got problems .... so I told her to copy all her precious files to the 1TB raid core share documents folder. While she was doing this she got a notification that it was out of space. It isn't.

I'm guessing there are user limits but I can't find the setting in the web admin. Anyone got any ideas.

Yes, I understood that. It was my initial question and would be my preferred set-up.

How easy was it to set up? I guess I just add it in freepbx?

I will experiment and let you know.

Hi Colinjones,
Thanks for the input.

I've just received a Siemens 475IP phone which allows for 6 voip accounts to be registered on the handset. I think I can set asterisk as one but set my cheap supplier as the default for outgoing calls. I've attached the base unit to the internal (192.168.80.0) network. I'll report back.

Just got an account with sipgate.co.uk. Thanks to wiki articles (and forum posts) I have it working.

Anyone know if I can have more than one sip supplier and use one for incoming calls and another for outgoing calls?

Reason for this is:
Supplier 1 (sipgate) has given me a local number (DID)
Supplier 2 does not provide this service but has better call rates

Still using 710 at the moment.

Thanks Thom, very informative.

Just ordered a nokia e65 and want to start using it with asterisk here in the UK. Nice to see a more simple solution in 810. Will be looking at this in more detail soon.

alx9r,
I've looked at your shell script and I think I can see your problem.

Step 6 includes the step of adding a line to the modules file on the moon (in your case 94). Your script includes the line referencing this file but misses the critical step of adding the line which is the module name 'r8168' into the modules file.

Apologies if I am misreading this but I'm stuck with windows for the moment so I can't see the file properly.

Hope this helps.

alx9r,
Forgot to ask ... you did complete step 6 of the wiki setup didn't you?

If you didn't do this step properly your eee box can't pxeboot after the initial boot. By recreating the image you allow it to boot only once. You must complete step 6 to stabilise your system. I think this might be your problem.

Hope this helps.

alx9r, thanks for listing your experiences. I have added a recommendation to the wiki to use the tested xorg.conf posted by totallymaxed.

I do not have any problems with pxeboot once initial set-up is complete. I have a wired gigabit network.

Also worth mentioning the dvi to hdmi problem seems unique to the aquos tv, I have no problems with my LG TV using dvi to hdmi at 720p.

Only issues I have are:
1. Occasional lock up requiring reboot of asus eee box (fairly rare).
2. xorg.conf gets overwritten with vesa driver (simply repeat step 5 in the walkthrough). Very rare.

I'd be interested to see your shell script too.

I'm not sure. I quite like the very active users category and looking through varied posts.

The problem with splitting it is that some channels will have only a few posts and be rarely visited. Replies may be slow. People will continue using 'users' for all posts.

I think combining lesser used channels might help. I like the idea of splitting 710 (archive) vs 810.
