76  LinuxMCE / Users / mediatomb and windows mediaplayer on: October 14, 2012, 10:16:17 am
does anyone use the two of them successfully in 1004? I'm having a bit of a trouble with this, because when I get down to the titles, I see multiple entries per track and none are playing. WMP always throws up an error message, that the file couldn't be found.
Is there something I'm doing wrong here?

In that case I should not get ans such message yet, right?

hmm...is there a way to customize those warninglevels? I mean...84% on a small drive might be understandable...but on a 1.8TB its a bit much.

we talked about this earlier in irc, but see for yourself:

could you put up some screenshots of your sip-client?
82  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Multiple fileserver adds of MDs. on: October 07, 2012, 05:08:36 pm
It seems, that the fileserver adds I still see here are related to mythtv....everytime it bombs out and wants to reset the backend, I see at least one of those messages.
The other thing is...I still get messages, that I'm running low on diskspace...
83  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Softphone won't register on: October 07, 2012, 09:53:08 am
from what I read in your post, it seems like you did a lot of manual work for creating your softphone...which is odd.
you actually don't need to do most of what you seem to have done. Actually you only need to create the device in the webadmin via template....you don't ever assign phonenumbers or passwords. All of that is done by Linuxmce..automagically, as they say around here. So perhaps the reason why its not working is, because the system wants to do it and you just created an unwanted intereference.
My advice: delete this handmade device, reload you router, create a new sip-softphone with the proper template...and don't change anything in that device, just copy the phonenumber and password to your sip-client...and that should do it.

the fileserver adds I see are all refering to the MD. I will check if I can find some additional info in the logs, if that will help.

Like I said...I knew you'd make it :-)
Once in a while I still see a message on my mobile oribter coming up, saying the fileserver has been added, but its by far different from before.
Now, if only mythtv would behave nicely again...but I guess thats not your cup of tea.
I just wanted to say thanks again.

put the script as prescribed and now everything is quiet on the western front.

thumbs up! Everything seems to be in order now. I believe even Mythtv is a little less bitchy, but that could be only my perception.
Good job! Thank you very much.

if you need anything, logs or so...just let me know

I followed your instructions to the letter...but my drives still go offline :-(
90  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: [not quite SOLVED]lmce beta- media not being displayed on: September 12, 2012, 12:59:01 pm
so far nothing. l3mce offered a modified radar script, but that didn't help so far.
Right now I'm just hoping that I'm either the only one with a borked install, so a new image would be reasonable, or that there are more with this problem and the devs will find good cause to take a closer look.
