61  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: cannot place international phone calls on: November 21, 2012, 02:16:31 pm
yes..all my phones are connected as sip-phones. Like I said, I can make national calls, cellphone-calls...no problem..international calls- no dice
62  LinuxMCE / Users / (Update) cannot place international phone calls on: November 21, 2012, 10:41:17 am
so there is definately something wrong with my asterisk. I hooked up a phone directly to my fritzbox and it connects international calls without a problem
63  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: cannot place international phone calls on: November 19, 2012, 06:51:55 pm
done,
please, check this screenshot
64  LinuxMCE / Users / cannot place international phone calls on: November 19, 2012, 06:14:56 pm
It seems like this is not working at present. I have no problem call nationally...but as soon as I want to make an international call, I just can't get a line. I checked the call details and there I can find some of those calls wit "No Answer". Checking my AVM Fritz!Box, where the asterisk is registered as a sipphone- none of those calls show up.
I put a "0" as a dial prefix in the Webadmin, so any international call would have to start with "000". I don't even get a message about a wrong number, so I guess the formatting is okay.
Does anyone have an idea what could cause this?

Cheers
Mario

hm..beats me...I got this thing only for a short time...but it could be the case
66  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: qOrbiter Skin - first design on: November 17, 2012, 10:22:12 am
thanks for that...I could install everything and it downloaded the qt-libraries...but then I got process org.linuxmce.qorbiter has stopped unexpectedly
67  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: qOrbiter Skin - first design on: November 16, 2012, 08:43:40 pm
I have a little toy here listening to the name of Panasonic KX-UT670. This is a SIP-phone with touchscreen, running on android 2.2
unfortunately it doesn't have playstore installed and installation of software is done via a dedicated admin function. I was however able to download the latest qorbiter from the link provided by golgoj.
For ministro I had to go to sourceforge, because logging in to google playstore via web listed ministro as being installed on my cellphone and didn't really care to install on this unit...dunno, maybe I'm too stupid for that one...
Anyways, I downloaded ministro II from sourceforge, installed it and started qorbiter....but it said this version wasn't compatible and it wanted to upgrade ministro service...but so far that fails. How can I get this to run?
By the way this phone supports configuring via a cfg-file, which means it could be made plug&play for lmce (at least I think so)

oh, I forgot to mention one more thing:

integration of google contacts would be very neat.

George W. Bush...are you serious? I thought you were crazy, but not mad! :-D

Of course we all want a stable, working system and we are getting there, but I do miss a few things too:
  • Security- basically there is one user, who can make changes to configuration and such, but what keeps a person/visitor/naughty child to put that said user on the orbiter start changing settings and perhaps fucking up the system
  • Telecom- we have usermailbox and a general mailbox- while accessing the usermailbox is nice and easily accessible, generalmailbox is not- currently you can only use it through the webadmin. Since our callers usually don't care who of us they get on the line, as long as they do get someone, they will also just leave a message on the generealmailbox, except they would have to say something "confidential"
  • TV- so we have right now VDR and Mythtv available- one being barely integrated, the other one being integrated rather well. I don't know about you guys, but right now mythtv is a crashprone mess. Of course I could just change to vdr and lose some of the amenities of the integration and perhaps gain some stability, but I'm loth to do that. I'd rather see Linuxmce have one very well integrated tv-solution that is stable. I don't care, if its vdr, mythtv or something else
  • DLNA-Devices- with more and more smart-TVs and network-utilising devices (e.g. AV-equipment) coming on the market, I think it would be a good thing to be able to exploit those. I can imagine people being very confused while having a smart-tv, why an MD would still be needed. Perhaps Qorbiter could be the answer to that question- but I'm shooting in the dark here, since I'm no programmer.

I certainly do :-) would be a nice info to have on the orbiter too

I found this on the net: http://www.greenwavereality.com/solutions/led-lighting/
sounds really neat controlling the light via wifi...too bad I can't get it here in germany.
74  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Softphone won't register on: October 15, 2012, 05:49:36 pm
okay...so lets see
I had x-lite running for a while, until they put out this awful update, which made it totally unusable. Right now I have Phonerlite running here, but the setup is always the same:
your username is only 201, leave the @ and everything that follows
in your second screenshot there is a registration name, yours is blank...I think you should put 201 there again.
Try this out and let me know, if it works
75  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: FreePbx on: October 14, 2012, 08:23:31 pm
As far as I know freepbx is no longer part of 10.04 and can't be used anymore. Asterisk is beeing configured via the database.
