LinuxMCE / Users / need some help with the phonebook

I have slight problem with the phonebook entries. I live in Germany and have a phonenumber like this : 0049 371 1234567 However when I start putting the country code in the first field, what appears in the "dial as" is this: 90110049 I don't understand what causes the 9011 to appear. I checked in the trunk for the dial pattern, but this is still as I set it: X. Since I finally managed to get the asterisk to talk to my fritzbox via sip, I would really like to start filling in the phonebook.

go to the webadmin interface there go to wizard->devices->mediadirectors. Scroll down to your MD in question and look for Softwaremodules, there is a button next to it, that says edit. it opens another window, see if mythtv is checked, then save and close.

Well, Thom, I suspected you'd say that...and I wish I could too so far, when I use the automatic configuration, select broadvoice and then put in the login-data for the fritzbox, it creates two lines- none of which I could delete from this page. If I go to manual configuration, I find one trunk named broadvoice and a user context named fritzbox. I also tried the intercom calling from one md to another or to the softphone- it gets dropped because there is no route. Other than that I find those messages in the status page: Could not reload the FOP operator panel server using the bounce_op.sh script. Configuration changes may not be reflected in the panel display. Added 7 minutes ago retrieve_conf failed to sym link the /etc/asterisk/sip.conf file from modules Retrieve conf failed to copy file(s) from a module's agi-bin dir: copy(/usr/share/asterisk/agi-bin/list-item-remove.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied copy(/usr/share/asterisk/agi-bin/directory): failed to open stream: Permission denied copy(/usr/share/asterisk/agi-bin/dialparties.agi): failed to open stream: Permission denied copy(/usr/share/asterisk/agi-bin/recordingcheck): failed to open stream: Permission denied copy(/usr/share/asterisk/agi-bin/fixlocalprefix): failed to open stream: Permission denied copy(/usr/share/asterisk/agi-bin/enumlookup.agi): failed to open stream: Permission denied copy(/usr/share/asterisk/agi-bin/checksound.agi): failed to open stream: Permission denied

I'm still having some trouble getting along with asterisk I found that the only script working for setting up a sip-trunk is broadvoice. I tried copying the script and modify it, so that it will configure asterisk to work together with my fritzbox- but that doesn't work- nothing registers. If I use the originial broadvoice-script and put in the logindata for the fritzbox, its working so far, that I suddenly have to lines showing with the data- one for fritzbox, one for broadvoice. Then, whenever I want to make a call- either inbound or outbound- I get a recorded message, that the number I have called is not in use. I have no idea what to do. For testing purposes I installed x-lite softphone on my computer and with the help of the wiki I set it up, so that it successfully registers with linuxmce, but I still cannot make even one call with it. Any suggestions, anybody?

just to make sure: when you try to configure mythtv, are you using the orbiter or are you trying from KDE-desktop? I'm asking, because obviously there are some people, who try to configure mythtv from kde-desktop, while actually you should go to Computing in your orbiter and start mythtv setup from there. if your tv-card is loaded properly, then you should have no problems tuning with mythtv, unless another application hijacked the card already

regarding videoplayback I am experiencing an instability issue besides mkv-files. I don't know if this is perhaps related to the nvidia-drivers or the vdpau-libraries. Like last night- I was watching some TV and then wanted to watch a few episodes of my favourite series. The first file played fine, the second behaved just like I described with the mkv-files. I had to reboot the MD twice before it would eventually play the file.

as far as I remember you don't need to do any updates prior to install Linuxmce. I only found the CD-menu a little bit misleading, since it states Install kubuntu and install linuxmce. At first I only went to the first option and of course didn't really get anywhere easily from there. if you go straight to install linuxmce you should be fine. As soon as the kubuntu install is finished, you should start the installerscript for linuxmce. The only obstacle is the nvidia driver really- you should use basic ui for the first generation of the orbiter- once everything is finished, got to kde-desktop, open a terminal and run nvidia-xconfig. Reboot from there and go through the AVWizard again, this time you can select ui2 with alphablending- it should be using nvidia 195.22 then.

okay, it seems I posted the same problem in two threads, I'm sorry...I will continue here. I've set the hardware acceleration first to vdpau, tried and when it didn't work with those files, I set it to auto. So far I can only play those files with xv- but with noticeable framedropping I tried with one of my movies- this one is an mkv- and put a snip from the xineplayer log here. After that I have to reset the Md or else I can't play anything anymore. 1 12/06/09 13:32:53 Spawn_Device.sh 49 (spawning-device)[1;00m14232 Dev: 49; Already Running list: 35,36,38,37,42,40,50,44,49,45,[1;00m 1 12/06/09 13:32:53 Spawn_Device.sh 49 (spawning-device)[1;00m14232 Device 49 was marked as 'running'. I have an md running on an ion330. When I'm trying to run any HD-movie, the TV stays black, I can hear sound for about 5 seconds, then the player crashes. Is there a way to check what happens?

hmmm...I wish I could say its working...but it isn't so far. I tried setting the hardwareacceleration to vdpau and started a movie, but its not showing. I can hear sound, but see no video. Then I changed the setting to auto...and get the same. If I regenerate the orbiter, it says first "trying to startup xineplayer" then I get a message, that some services didn't start properly. If I change HW-acceleration back to XV, normal videos are playing again. As far as I can see, the nvidia 195.22 is in place
