1  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: 10.04 Install issue on: June 05, 2013, 06:23:22 pm
Man, you probably gonna hate me for this....I saw you had a geforce 610 and returned it, because you didn't get sound via hdmi.
You probably didn't see this: http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php/topic,13245.msg96050.html#msg96050
I also have this card in my core/hybrid and couldn't get sound via hdmi...turns out its just a kernel update needed. I'm not sure if this will still help you.
But I'm really sorry I didn't see this earlier.

Since I encountered some problems yesterday with permissions on one of my harddisk- its a disk I keep exclusively for movies and they would only play from the core- I found out, that the group was not public, but unknown. Thats probably something leftover from my previous install. Anyways, I wanted to ask where the zip-files will be written to. Maybe its another "old" location with screwed up permissions.

yeah, I tried the hulu-reinstall, but as far as I could tell, it didn't install a different flashplayer...and everything remained blue.

found this Little Nugget on wiki.ubuntuusers.de
Quote
sudo mkdir /etc/adobe
sudo sh -c "echo 'EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1\nOverrideGPUValidation=true' > /etc/adobe/mms.cfg"
and it helped
okay...the blue tint is gone, but now flashplayer crashes a lot....not really an improvement
5  LinuxMCE / Users / youtube and the Blueman group [solved-partly] on: May 27, 2013, 01:50:16 pm
at least thats how it looks like, when I'm trying to watch anything on youtube with lmce. Is there something I can do to get all colors in youtube? Right now everything looks completely blueish.
6  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: qorbiter resolution on: May 27, 2013, 01:46:52 pm
I don't know about the actual resolution, but the skin for the orbiter is to be set of course in the webadmin, exactly where you created your qorbiter in the first place. On the other hand, am I right to assume, that the Aeon skin you are referring to, is a skin for your phone? If so, then you are out of luck, because that has nothing to do with qorbiter....or lmce.

I'm not trying to be a bother...but have you had a chance looking into the matter...or is it something I screwed up?

A picture says more than a thousand words, so I got a screenshot for you.
9  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: autotag seems hanging on: May 20, 2013, 10:11:45 am
I hate to say it, but it appears to affect all the shows I have...American Gothic, Coupling, Elementary..you name it.
10  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: autotag seems hanging on: May 19, 2013, 09:22:57 am
I will, if I know where the zip-file will be stored.
11  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: qoribter reconnects to old device on: May 19, 2013, 09:22:04 am
I think thats fixed now :-)
There is however some graphical garbage appearing that makes some of the buttons increasingly unreadable. I suppose that is a driver issue with my cellphone -htc evo3d.
12  LinuxMCE / Users / autotag seems hanging on: May 18, 2013, 11:11:44 am
I'm having a bit of an issue with autotagging. I will start it in a directory with some tv-shows in it. The script will start and shows the log. There it will download a zip-file and start expanding it...and thats the point where its hanging...for hours, even days. The webadmin will not respond anymore and the whole system slows down to a crawl.  I don't really have an idea how to solve this issue.
13  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Geforce GT610 on: May 08, 2013, 08:43:06 am
depends on which problem you are referring to...
if you are referring to the hdmi-sound, then that problem was fixed by a kernel upgrade.
The other problem I had was with upgrading the kernel on the md. So far there is a wiki page which detailed the procedure, but I think that most of those steps aren't actually needed anymore. I will have to verify that and then change the wiki accordingly, I guess. The only things I needed to do was apt-get install for the the kernel and then only set proper permissions. The links were all correct...at least that was my observation.

Everything is A-OK now :-) Thanks for the help, guys.
15  LinuxMCE / Users / qoribter reconnects to old device on: May 04, 2013, 07:27:04 pm
I recently did a reinstall of lmce. After I was done I wanted to get qorbiter running again. So far so good, but it always wants to connect to the device from the old install. When the startup-screen shows, I tried many times to change the entry for the orbiter-number, but it doesn't work. I uninstalled qorbiter, deleted the appdata..but somehow it always comes back.
