Users / anybody knows this number?
« on: June 05, 2010, 12:52:55 pm »
Check this out: 2147483647
This is the number that pops out, whenever I use the telecom feature to let it transfer calls to an outside number...this isn't my number and I have no idea where it comes from.

okay...depends on what dirt-cheap is...and where. I live in germany and -due to my lack of understanding perhaps- I only found them available at usbuirt.com at a price of 50$

I'm still trying to figure out the entertainment-area setup. In my livingroom I have the core hooked up to the projector and my md to the tv....both have a connection to my soundsystem..one with optical, one with coax. So I was wondering if it was possible to put only one usbuirt on the core and use it to also control things like volume for the md?

there are no devices on my phone. the problem is rather on the server side. I put the pin first on the server, but my cell won't  accept it, so I am looking for a way to reset the pin.
Besides..is there a way of stopping or halting the discovery of bluetooth-devices? I don't know about you guys...I don't live in a very populated place, but its not a village either..right now I have about a 150 bluetooth-devices found and there doesn't seem to be an end to it...everytime someone with a cellphone walks by, I get asked if I want to use it. I don't want to think about a time, when I would have to reinstall linuxmce and have to go through a similar number of questions again....watching a movie or TV gets a bit difficult right now

hmm... thats interesting...if pairing is not required, then why was there a dialogue from lmce asking me to put a pin for my cellphone?

The latest update seems to have woken up my bluetooth on the core. Suddenly it detected 100+ bluetooth-devices around my place...quite scary and tedious :-)
on the other hand, it seems that I cannot connect my phone properly (htc hd2). At this point I am not sure if I typed the encryption key correctly, because I can't pair my phone with the core. I wanted to try the java orbiter...windowsce would just screw up the phone.
I  deleted the orbiter and tried anew..but I still cannot pair the two of them. Is there a way to delete they pin for the phone from the orbiter? Perhaps in my eagerness I typed something different from what I remember.

that was exactly my idea....however as I heard the Fritz!Mini has been discontinued, on the other hand they produce Fritz!Phone which can also receive internet-radio...but also only in connection with a fritz!box :-(

okay...thanks alot.
That would mean, I have to make the Fritz!Mini known to Linuxmce somehow...unless someone here has indepth knowledge on how to convince those AVM-Products to work with that, thats probably not possible. Thats a bit of a problem that AVM causes...those boxes run on a linuxflavor, yet they let it run together with iTunes and Windowsmediaplayer, but not with the good stuff....

that sounds interesting....I got an asrock ion330...so far I have been using mythtv vdpau slim at 1080p- that was the only one, where I got no crashes so far.
I will check this out again.

Feature requests & roadmap / internetradio

I was wondering if there will be some sort of internetradio integration. For example, I have a hardware internetradio (fritz!mini) which can receive some internetstreams on its own. However I have to manually select the station at the radio itself. So aside from the limitations, that this device only likes m3u, pls and mp3 radiostations, I thought it would be cool, if there would be a local linuxmce-radiostation, which I could set my radio to receive..and then on the orbiter select any internetradio and stream it to that device ???

hmm..seems the hd2 doesn't like the orbiter software...the memory in the phone was immediately full, though I installed it on the memory card
