interestingly somehow this lucid reference turned up in my sources.list too. I also got 530 upgrades offered, but I declined. However I'm also faced with an issue right now, that I don't seem to be getting ips from my server anymore. So the first time I thought,its just hanging and I reset it. After a few hours I came back home only to find the same thing again. Okay...I thought, perhaps its a space issue, but there are still several GBs available....I restart, went away and came back and the same thing again.
So I found this thread and thought maybe its a dhcp issue, but I don't have /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.dhcpd3

however I found something else in var/log/messages.log everytime when it crashed:

I know...nobody really wants to sit with extra glasses in their living room...but with 3d projectors coming out and not being much more expensive than ordinary fullhd projectors, I was wondering if implementing real stereoscopic 3d playback could be a new feature for Linuxmce.

okay...I understand....on the other hand I was more or less thinking of streaming to an md or something like that...I personally don't have a DNLA-TV, because having LMCE kinda would make this superfluous. Thats why I was wondering if this could be done from the cell to the md.

I got a fancy new android-powered cellphone, which has a very nice feature..you can send pictures and stream videos via wifi to your DLNA-TV. Is it possible to accomplish this with Linuxmce or would this be a feature-request?

What I mean is the IP-Address of your spa3102...all you screenshots show that it has 192.168.0.1 and that is wrong. Does it retain this address when connected to linuxmce? if so then for some reason it doesn't get a proper IP-Address via dhcp. You could try an check in webadmin->network->dhcp leases, whether or not the device shows up there with a proper lease. if it still doesn't show, try giving it a static ip address from the segment linuxmce uses (192.168.80.x).

hmm...the first thing that comes to mind...why is your spa3102 in a different subnet than dcerouter. are you sure they can talk to each other? give it an address from the same subnet and then try again

Just my two cents....I've been with linuxmce since 7.10 turned officially beta. Of course I had some problems at the beginning...problems like everyone who learns a new system. However, everytime I ran into a problem, I turned to the forum for help or to irc...and help I always got.
This system is something you don't pay a single cent for...and now turn over to something commercially available. Some companies have a public community, where you can go and cry your heart out and where there is usually only a forum administrator to take all the heat...and hardly anyone with knowledge and competence from the company's side of the fence....If you want proper help there, you have to shell out quite some coins, especially with very complex systems.
So in my mind, sad but true, if there are people coming around with an attitude and complain that this isn't just easy-peasy installation like some commercial thingy, they perhaps just people too lazy or mentally impaired. I'm certainly not a genius, but what is actually soo difficult about installing this thing?

I would like to make a feature request for asterisk, namely the ability to switch of the line identifier "9" or "0" for dialing. As far as I found out about asterisk, it is in most cases not neccessary to prepend a "9" or "0" in order to get a line for dialing. I can only speak for the European continent, that standard local numbers are at least 4 digits long. While there may be a number of people out there with only three digit local phonenumbers, they are more or less dying out, because numbers like that are no longer given out for new phonelines.
So I think it would make things a bit easier, if for numbers not in the phonebook, if asterisk would be transparent to the user and you could just dial the number without having to remember the additional number. It would mean, that any number that is longer than three digits gets a line automatically.

while it is true, that the article doesn't explicitly say anything about minimun length of the phonenumbers, three digit phonenumbers -at the very least in germany- are a thing of the past, because there won't be any new ones like that given out. check this out from 2009 : http://www.onlinekosten.de/news/artikel/34278/0/Netzagentur-Elfstellige-Ortsnetzrufnummern-ab-2011

Anyways, I'll put in a feature request and we'll see if it becomes a reality.

so you have a phonenumber, that does not comply with the standard phonenumber plan for germany....interesting
Anyways...it would be interesting to know if its possible to switch off of the line identifier, if its not needed....I guess that would be a feature request?

check the screenshots below--those are the settings for the phone in my core. I don't know however if you can actually create  a working extension there, or if it all has to be done by script. On the other hand maybe its worth a shot

just to make sure we are talking about the same thing: an are code is in front of a phonenumber, or local number. So if you want to make a local call, like calling your neighbor, then you would only need to dial the local number without countrycode or areacode, right?
for example a number in germany with canoncial format would look like this : 0049 1111 222222 (countrycode areacode localphonenumber)
As far as I know there is no local number with only three digits. The only three digit numbers are emergency call numbers like 911,110, 115, etc. That is something the dialplan can take care of, if Asterisk doesn't.
