Installation issues / Re: media drive not showing anymore
« on: August 30, 2010, 11:20:15 pm »
After deleting the drive, it gets rediscovered and I'm being asked how to use it....I add it to the linuxmce file structure as I had done so before. From there on its usually being mounted and accessible. Now its just kinda dead.
for example the link in /home/public/data/videos/ for the disk is !ST9320325AS (sda1) on moon39-G [88]
 /mnt/device/88 is not accessbile.
doing ssh moon39 I can check /mnt/device/88 and see all my files...
unfortunately I cannot say whether or not this happened after the latest update, since I noticed the problem only later.

I just deleted the device and it got rediscovered...but there is no access so far. In the webadmin ->Media Files Sync it shows with a dropdown field to choose a filetype...and so it stays, even after reloading or rebooting.

has anyone tried it on the htc hd2? So far no matter what resolution I put (currently n770) it never fits on the screen. Opera always zooms in...if I zoom out again, I can see that there is some cropping on the right side too.

okay...I checked the wiki and try to get this one working. I found this article:
I obviously need to add the product id to the driver and need some sources. The article states, that "...You'll need to install subversion, linux-source-2.6.22, build-essential, gcc and possibly some other packages too before you start.."
so how do I get the correct kernel source?

Just today I've been doing some windowshopping in the mall checking out a possible new soundsystem. Some of them had a RS232, but I also noticed some with an it possible to use that to control the receiver, or will it only be used for streaming from the net?
What are you experiences with that, or what models are you guys using?

yup, same here...but as far as I read, we will probably have to wait for the next release...I checked in trac and there it says the issue has been put on halt.

I'm not sure about the realtime priority threads, but for me changing the commflagging to blank screen instead of try all methods worked.

I will check the commflagging...seems a good start, thanks :-)

When I'm watching tv on my MD (asrock ion330) and I hit F7 or try something fancy as PIP the playback slows down to a crawl...the system becomes very unresponsive....
Is this to be expected on an ion-plattform?
Also I have an issue with some movies....they sometimes freeze for a couple of seconds, then fastforwards to keep up again. I can rewind to the original place and watch normally. I think I have found out that when MythTV wasn't running before I watched, the videos play smoothly, no jerking.
Anyone else experienced something like that?

so, I'm wondering what does changing the priority actually do -aside from the fact, that you get packages offered...or what is different with these packages in regards to packages I would get when they are with priority 600?
