Installation issues / Re: Installing Diskless MDs
« on: April 08, 2017, 04:27:05 pm »
Unfortunately it does not work. I think it may have something to do with the "dangling symlink"?
Here are the contents of the respective folder
/usr/pluto/diskless/86/boot

Installation issues / Re: Installing Diskless MDs
« on: April 02, 2017, 08:48:54 pm »
Unfortunately its not that easy. I tried deleting the orbiter and reinstall it. It boots up fine the first time, but then installs the nvidia-drivers and reboots. That is when the shit hits the fan. I followed the symlinks from /tftpboot down to the orbiter...none of them are broken. I assume there are supposed to be only two links in /tftpboot/86/ one for vmlinuz and one for initrd.img. The kernel-version on the core and the md are different- I don't know if that is of significance.
Other than that, I have no idea, why 86/initrd.img not found is being reported. I also verified the permissions and that seems to be okay too.
I'm stumped

Installation issues / Re: Installing Diskless MDs
« on: April 02, 2017, 02:40:24 pm »
guys, I have quite a similar problem. After performing an update on my md (asrock ion330) it wouldn't boot anymore. So I too rebuilt the image, which resultet in "45/initrd.img" not being found.
So I rans "usr/pluto/bin/Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh", which ran without detecting any issues, but it seemed quite fast...usually it takes around an hour- this was done after 25 Minutes
I deleted the MD and let it create a new one, which gave me "77/initrd.img" not found.
So what do I do now? Please advise.

Running on 12.04
Cheers
Mario

-------------
I found out that initrd.img points to initrd.img-3.13.0-105-generic and vmlinuz to vmlinuz-3.13.0-105-generic
for both files there ias however a 3.16.0-77 present

it seems redoing the database did the trick, fileview is available again

ok, I reinstalled the database. However I got an error at the end:
Quote
Error 1146 (42S02) at line 1: Table 'pluto_main.Attribute' doesn't exist
Is this something to be concerned about?`
Anyway, I will see, what will happen now.
Thanks so far!

well, I can manually start and stop the updatemediadaemon. I checked the log and the connection error still occurs.
The log also shows me a lot of double attributes. I don't think that is right.
Also in Orbiter, when I select a TV-Show, though they are all tagged via autotagger, the listing there is not consistent. Lets say there are 8 Seasons of a TV-Show. Three seasons appear in a common container, the others are listed separately and the episodes are mostly out of order there. So its quite a challenges to figure out, how to find the next one to watch.
All of this happened since I had this crash. So I was thinking if its either possible to drop and rebuild the database for my media, or if I will just scrap this install and make a new one.

Hmm..there must be something else. I verified that all my media is tagged and supposedly entered in the database. I let the systems sit there, but until now Fileview remains empty.

Hello Guys, my Core crashed today and I rebooted it. So far so good, but now I have a weird phenomenon. All the files are there and they play, if I select them via Title. However if I want to list via Filename, the list is completely empty.
My core is running on 14.04. and is up to date.
Any idea where I should look?`

Cheers
Mario

ok..my fault- turns out it was a false alarm. I obviously didn't check properly. Asterisk hasn't started after the update. I rebooted the core and everything is fine now.
Seems I forgot Rule #1 again ;-)

Cheers
Mario
