So, that means, something might be wrong on my system....since updatemedia doesn't seem to get going on its own.
Perhaps a permission issue. The disks in my core have been in use since 8.10. After installation of 12.04, I had some problems accessing with my credentials. Could you tell me, what the correct ownership and permissions are?

Just today I put some new movies..discs are all located in the core, checked updatemedia, which was reported as stopped. So I enabled it and waited half a day. Nothing so you think it would take longer? By the way, so that I understand, after starting core, how long does updatemedia run, or what triggers it?

ok, hitting resynchronise does the job and creates id3-tags....I don't know if thats a bug with updatemedia, but also when I put new files, it seems they never get added to the database on its own.

I check /usr/pluto/bin/ and it said the updatemedia was stopped....I started it again, but still no id3 files showing up...even rebooted the core

Just this last two days I've been tagging videos- mostly tvshows- and now I was adding some files...checking in the folders, I did not see a single id3 file, even though everything was properly tagged. So I was wondering, if this is standard now, or another bug? I know that when moving those files via webadmin, that id3 files will be created.

Users / cd-ripping

I'm running 12.04 and try to rip some music cd to the core. So usually I'd go to manage drives and click rip on the appropriate drive. Then I can type a name, choose location, create directory...Then it immediately says ripping complete and nothing actually happens. However playing the disk, click on copy disc, I can at least type a name and choose a drive.
is this just me, or is it like that by design/ development?

I put the bd-drive in my server, popped a disk in...and it plays. Then I thought of trying it on my me...went to manage drives, clicked on my Ford's drive to dice. So that means this works only if the md in question has a be-drive too.

Hmm...It seems the problem has sorted itself out...but I need to check more.

Ok, how do I change the log-level? By the way, with all my moving around, I now even have a triple entry.

I did some more experimenting...moving to another folder or another disk, i have only one entry...restoring it to the original location- double entries.
I created a new folder for my movies, moved all the files there, deleted the id-tags first. Upon resynchronising again, double entries again.

Exactly... but do you know what is even stranger? I tried deleting the idtag for Django. It was gone, movie no longer listed. I tagged it again in the webadmin via tmdb. I now have two entries again, but I can't find the id3tag's supposed to be in the same folder as the movie, or did that change location now?

I moved the file via webadmin to another disk...id3 file now in evidence..

This is far I Feindbild one Tag, one id3 per title. When checking those movies in the orbiters, one has details, the one with the filename doesn't. I deleted one of the id3-tags, both entries were gone. I tagged the Movie again, I got two entries again, this time, both filled with details.
