congrats to all that were involved!
47  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Basic NAS questions - what's the correct installation method? on: September 11, 2011, 10:57:31 am
I have the same problem with Freenas. I added
Code:
force create mode = 0777
directory mask = 0777

to the Auxiliary parameters of the share.

Not really a proper solution.....

anyone knows a better way to fix this?

I wish I could buy everyone who put work into this a drink.  Ya'll certainly deserve it!
Just donate and let them get drunk ;-)
49  LinuxMCE / Developers / Re: First test of Dianemo 10.10 to Dianemo 11.04 upgrade on: August 24, 2011, 01:14:42 pm
I understand you have to make money. Just thought that keeping up to date with the (k)ubuntu releases is a basic thing and you would be more helped by having the LinuxMCE guys focus on other things instead. that's all.

By the way: ever thought of putting a pricetag on some closed improvements you made and see if the linuxmce community is able and willing to pay for it to make it open source? I suppose the main part of your and linuxmce users base are totally different so it would not affect your normal business that much.

Regards,

E.

50  LinuxMCE / Developers / Re: First test of Dianemo 10.10 to Dianemo 11.04 upgrade on: August 23, 2011, 09:43:02 am
Beside that it is not released as GPL(yet) are there other reasons it is not integrated in LinuxMCE? I would say both projects would go smoother the more they are in sync and can use/help each other. I'd rather see the Linuxmce devs make functional improvements then in staying up to date with updates if that can be arranged differently ;-).
51  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: New PLCBUS driver on: January 30, 2011, 06:08:26 pm
neither functional nor tested.. do you want that feature and volunteer to test it?

thx a lot Hari for implementing it!
52  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: New PLCBUS driver on: January 29, 2011, 06:16:19 pm
Hari,

Is the 3-phase functional and tested? I saw the checkbox in the admin but can't seem to get it to work.

thx!
53  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: plcbus 3phase on: January 09, 2011, 03:23:47 pm
I haven't been able to set it up properly yet. Don't know what is causing it.
54  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh not working because of sources.list ? on: November 13, 2010, 03:23:31 pm
This still seems the case. Anyone an idea how to fix this? I can run apt-get update & upgrade on the core without errors but the diskless create fails.
55  LinuxMCE / Users / Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh not working because of sources.list ? on: November 07, 2010, 11:19:01 am
Somehow xine is not working so I tried to reinstall a MD to see with a fresh install. I installed the sources.list of Murdock ( http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=10901.msg75427#msg75427 )

But running /usr/pluto/bin/Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh fails with lots of 404s (see attachment). anyone an idea how to solve it?
56  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: plcbus 3phase on: October 18, 2010, 01:58:38 pm
afaik all you need is a phase coupler - marmitek.nl might have some.

I the manual it mentions:

If the power line system in your home is 3-phaes, you need to adjust your #4034E to "3-phase" status. That means before you use your #4034E, you need to confirm which status your #4034E is between "1-phase" and "3-phase".

I suppose that status influences the way it functions.

Anyone knows?
57  LinuxMCE / Users / plcbus 3phase on: October 18, 2010, 01:34:24 pm
I understood from Hari that someone else has done the work for 3 phase integration of PLC Bus. Anyone knows how to configure it so it will work in 3 phase mode?

thx!

Since I did not get a response for more then a week does that mean that nobody knows and I should file a bug ticket?

thx
59  LinuxMCE / Developers / Re: creating template for logitech rumblepad on: May 05, 2010, 08:44:41 pm
Thom,

I tried to just add a mapping to test if it would work. However I had no success. I looked in the gyration template and saw that there 120000 was used instead of 100000. I only need to provide a mapping to be able to test it right? Besides the mapping

2,100291=2,73
3,100291=3,73

I tried

2,120291=2,73
3,120291=3,73

and just in case:

2,291=2,73
3,291=3,73

However none showed the menu. The device is detected and installed automatically. I also saw an old post http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=8652.60 and I also have that in my log every 4 seconds:
01      05/05/10 21:27:06.843           GenericHIDInterface::DecodeEventInFD: Short read from fd 1 <0xb2588b90

Pressing this button on the pad when running 'sudo evtest /dev/input/event6' gives me:
Event: time 1273088300.879692, type 4 (?), code 4 (?), value 589828
Event: time 1273088300.879703, type 1 (Key), code 291 (TopBtn), value 1
Event: time 1273088300.879711, type 0 (Reset), code 0 (Reset), value 0
Event: time 1273088301.031694, type 4 (?), code 4 (?), value 589828
Event: time 1273088301.031702, type 1 (Key), code 291 (TopBtn), value 0
Event: time 1273088301.031708, type 0 (Reset), code 0 (Reset), value 0

xev gives no output at all (on none of the buttons, neither the joysticks).

Maybe the short read has something to do with it? Or am I doing something else wrong here? hope you can help me out.

thx
60  LinuxMCE / Developers / creating template for logitech rumblepad on: May 03, 2010, 09:07:20 am
Hi,

I wanted to create a template for teh logitech rumbplepad joystick/pad and tried to follow the descriptions here:
http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Creating_a_Device_Template_for_a_Remote_that_uses_the_kernel_input_subsystem

However with the tail -f /var/log/pluto/XX_LaunchOrbiter.sh.log | grep "GenericHIDInterface" (with hybrid orbiter) I do not get any input when pressing anything. Using evtest however does give input:

# evtest /dev/input/event6
Input driver version is 1.0.0
