@Techstyle: I appreciated you taking a look into this.

@Kaelix:  Now that you mention it I seem to recall that too.  The system never identified the USB Serial adapter before.  It would simply see the receiver.  I imagine that is a direct relationship to the issue.

Really? Thanks...I am curious as to what you are investigating specifically.

Yes, I deleted the serial USB device.  It just keeps detecting it.  I have told the system to permanently ignore, but that doesn't get me any closer to getting control back of the receiver.  Thoughts, Ideas?
19  LinuxMCE / Users / Yamaha RX-v1600 not being detected. on: December 16, 2010, 04:31:28 pm
I have a Yamaha RX-v1600 receiver that was previously being auto detected and controlled by LMCE.  I recently deleted the MD image and rebuilt it fresh.  Now the MD only detects the Serial USB dongle and does not detect the Receiver.  In addition, after detecting the USB serial device and reloading the router, it detects it again and repeats the installation.  Does anyone know what this issue is, or how I can go about fixing it?
20  LinuxMCE / Users / Diskless MD, Mythtv frontend fails to start. on: December 16, 2010, 04:23:36 pm
Hey, I'm having an issue with the mythtv frontend starting on my diskless media director. When I start the app I get a tan screen background and after a few seconds I get a bar at the bottom with a digital clock on the right hand side.  All the logs in /var/log/pluto for 'spawn*myth*.log' are zero bytes.  The frontend works fine on the core.  The MD only has logs for mythbackend with no real errors in it.  Has anyone seen an issue like this, or is there any other places I can check for logs?

Thank you, Merkur2k, for investigating and working on this feature.

Thom,

That's a valid deployment strategy. I wasn't attacking, just suggesting.  I apologize if I did not frame my comments to convey that appropriately.  I am not a developer and do not have the time, at present, to become so.  I'm sorry I can not help in that area.  I would appreciate your understanding of my position rather then attacking me for not providing development assistance.

Agreed, Asterisk 1.8 has some nice features of which the most interesting is Google Voice interoperability.  Since it appears that LMCE is upgrading Asterisk anyway, why not 1.8?
24  LinuxMCE / Feature requests & roadmap / Re: Video Conferencing Video over IP on: December 04, 2010, 07:39:50 pm
I just wanted to bump this. I now Video conferencing was on the list at some point for development but I haven't discovered if it has been complete.  Does anyone know?

iOS iTouchOrb is the offical name of the Android orbiter, or a parallel project?

Some user testing has been discussed here:

Any progress on authentication, or blue tooth connectivity?

Fair Enough, Thank you.
29  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: FreePBX 2.2.0beta3 on: November 15, 2010, 03:53:19 pm
Can anyone check to see if this is the version they have with there Linuxmce installation?  Maybe I'm just out dated.
30  LinuxMCE / Users / FreePBX 2.2.0beta3 on: November 14, 2010, 03:03:17 pm
Is there any technical reason that 810 is running FreePBX 2.2.0beta3, or can I upgrade it to the latest?  In addition, is there an easy way to upgrade it?  The FreePBX official webpage states that upgrading through modules is supported online in version 2.3 or higher.  Thanks in advance.
