Feature requests & roadmap / Re: Getting rid of the wiki spammers
« on: May 10, 2012, 10:10:53 am »
I would like to help and add few more security features and harden WIKI against spam. Who is main admin responsible for WIKI?

Just check this out: http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Special:Log/newusers - these are 95% spammers.

did you try http://www.telldus.se/retailer/index ;)?

br,
Raymond

Nice, there are plenty of supliers now in EU, very nice.
One thing I don't see are other tellstick compatible gear that can be controlled :( Wiki page is only mentioning "Nexa line!" of devices, but when I search wiki for nexa there is no mention of it anywhere else :(
http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Tellstick

EDIT: found list od compatible devices on Telldus site and added it to the wiki:
http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Tellstick#Compatible_Devices

ps. probably not all work with tellstick that is supported with LinuxMCE, some probably work only with Tellstick Duo wich I can't find reference that it is supported in LinuxMCE.

I'm sure there are people using alarm panels with LinuxMCE, too bad they are keeping this info for them selves :(

i see no news here.

meanwhile, LinuxMCE still needs a designer. jus sayin...

Agreed, Microsoft stuff isn't news but it is slick looking. Here are even more demos - http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/projects/homeos/homeos-demos.htm and it looks like they are also using Vera for most of the stuff (AFAIK which shares lots of LinuxMCE code).

ionics

You probably went with Stratus:
http://www.ionicsplug.com/compare.html

Stratus + Wifi + ZWave model currently costs 142$

It would be interesting to compare this Stratus with RaspberryPi + usb zwave dongle when it comes out, that should cost around 85$ (35 + 50).
