Users / Can I control a DLNA device (SONY TV) from Linuxmce?
« on: January 19, 2011, 01:56:58 pm »
I would like to power on/off a Sony TV via the network using DLNA commands, and maybe also select input, control volume etc.

Is it possible?
where can I find the command syntax?

Users / Foscam FI8918W has anybody got it working?
« on: November 29, 2010, 12:02:49 pm »
I Ordered a Foscam FI8908W after reading that Barney had got it working, but the supplier where out of that type so I got one FI8918W instead, it is supposed to be better wider viewing angles and such, but it dies after five to ten minutes when I have it connected to my LinuxMCE LAN, so I connected it to a router with only one pc on the lan, and there it stays alive.

what can be killing the camera so that I have to power it off/on to get it working (disconnecting/reconnecting ethernet wire might help)?

any Ideas?

Hi all,

I screwed up my device database, how can I empty it so I can make a new install without installing Kubuntu from start?

« on: August 11, 2009, 12:11:48 pm »
Hi all,

Should Player / Sound Bridge get registered?

they both stay at: Status **RUN_CONFIG** and Registered: No

but works both in Squeezcenter and controlled from Orbiter.

Users / USBUIRT transmit failed
« on: January 31, 2009, 05:58:49 pm »
Hi All,

USBUIRT transmit failed

I installed the (new and shiny) USBUIRT device and made it learn some LINUXMCE commands so I can run the orbiter with a remote. ok

then I applied Seths/Enoodles fix http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/USB-UIRT_x86_Fix

opened the A/V properties in the A/V equipment wizard,

I went to the "Edit IR codes" page and enter some codes like "00 01 02 03 04 05 06" "update" and "test code" a message pops up saying:
The command was sent to device #131

but the /var/log/pluto/130_USB_UIRT_0038.log says:

UsbUirt transmit failed sending 00 01 02 03 04 05 06! <0xb6046b90>

and the LED on the USBUIRT stays dark

what am I doing wrong why canĀ“t I get it to transmit?
