yes.

I mentioned this to TSCHAK last night and he said it might have something to do with some database changes that have been made recently
3  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Setting Up External and Internal Wireless Networks on: May 09, 2013, 10:50:27 pm
for starters, I would suggest configuring your internal device per the instructions:

http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Linksys_WRT54G

differences being - turning off the firewall and setting the IP address within the allowed range of LMCE (192.168.80.129-254 as std)
4  LinuxMCE / Users / Updated Template list on: May 09, 2013, 07:31:45 pm
I am trying to find a template that Whateverfits has submitted and cannot find it.  The template uses manufacturer: Radio Thermostats and the description is: 3M50

I do not have the manufacturer in the manufacturer list. Possy confirmed that the Manufacturer exists in his list

I made sure my core was upto date - apt-get Update and Upgrade then

I did a sqlCVS Diff, reverted everything and did and "sqlCVS Update".

My understanding is that the templates should be upto date - am I doing something wrong?
5  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Reference Home Automation and Security implementation on: May 03, 2013, 04:59:01 am
Have you checked the template in or is it just 2254 in your setup?

Take a look at #2235, this is the template I created with Tschak's help, but since then I have been talking to Aviator.  See the wiki page http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Radio_Thermostat for some code snipets
6  LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Netflix as button? 1004 working on KDE desktop on: April 06, 2013, 01:35:28 am
Netflix working via Linux is news to me.  Using the computing menu to use it is fine. We do that already for many sites. I will have to try this

8  LinuxMCE / Developers / Re: (NOW WORKING) 'DS9490R 1wire usb adapter' working! on: February 22, 2013, 06:53:41 pm
The Device Template was updated, submitted and approved with the two changes in this thread.  The DS9490R should work now with the stock template
9  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Reference Home Automation and Security implementation on: February 21, 2013, 08:15:45 pm
Asram,

I use X10 (cheap - lights, outlets and PIR) and 1-wire (very cheap - temp and soon Humidity).  Do you own your condo? meaning are you willing to run structured wiring? Cat5e/6 around

Armor Gnome,
I don't use Nest but do use a Filtrete 3M-50 that I am trying to add support for  (it is cheaper and not as Apple-esque).

Anderson01,
What would you fit if you were just buying a normal alarm system?  think of what you would want to cover then apply that to LMCE.  PIR's, window/door sensors are all readily available in LMCE.  Add camera's, sirens, alerts via email and phone

In general, I like the ability to use sensors for multiple things - for instance PIR's are used for security and to trigger lighting.  Temp sensors help with heating system and (hopefully - when I work this out) fire alarms (if the sensor is over a certain temperature - FIRE!!!)
10  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Future of (AV) device control on: February 20, 2013, 04:27:53 pm
For TV's I specifically bought Sharp and LG with RS232 ports (from BestBuy Smiley). Just did my research first and therefore did not need to ask the 'experts' anything
11  LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Future of (AV) device control on: February 19, 2013, 06:53:30 pm
Thom,

unfortunately, most people are just going to buy stuff that suits their pockets and buy them from places like Best Buy or they have already got their equipement before deciding they want to take it to the next level.

Jamo,

Code:
I know CEC is poorly supported at present but it is an option
What do you mean?  CEC is in place on lots of HDMI equipment now but not neccesarily common codes - therefore DT's would need to be made for each device rather than each type of device (TV's, Blu-ray, PVR, Receiver).

I think support for a common, low cost 'USB-CEC injector' would be good step forward for LMCE.

it would be great if they behaved very much like songs in an album

it seems like it doesn't find the device.  When I installed them less than a week ago they were discovered almost immediately.
14  LinuxMCE / Users / 1-Wire Temperature Sensors on: February 16, 2013, 06:46:20 pm
So I have 4 Temperature sensors installed in my 1-Wire network.

2 days back 1 was accidentally unplugged.  Since then the temperature has remained constant at the temp that was being reported - even after a reload and reboot.  what is the correct process for getting this to work again?
15  LinuxMCE / Feature requests & roadmap / Re: Radio Thermostat Publishes API on: February 15, 2013, 04:20:23 am
It is the JSON template I was asking about a few weeks ago in the IRC.  I have struggled with it and havent really got very far. Aviator had it working, cant find him though
