Installation issues / Re: ATI chipsets: Seeking testers
« on: June 02, 2011, 10:06:14 pm »
I'm having problems setting my 1004 on my Dell SC440 server working as a core.  The Kubuntu 1004 installation goes smooth as well as all the installation scripts as far as I can tell.  Once I reboot, I get the error "Failed to setup X".  If I run lshwd I get the following information returned regarding my video device "05:07.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc.|ES1000 RN50 (radeon)".  If anyone can help me I would be much appreciative.

Thanks,
Michael

Hi all

A slightly quicker update than expected but RF decoding turned out to be easiest bit as it uses the same data encoding as the CM17.

So in summary the target of having a fully integrated CM15 solution for those able to carry out some testing has taken a step further.  :)

NOS.

I'll be glad to help, but I'm a linux idiot...

Installation issues / Re: Diskless setup failed

The installation is a AMD64 CD install since the SC440 system is a server machine without the capabilities to be a media director and therefore no opportunity of being a hybrid.  By the way, this is my first real venture with Linux.

Thanks for the quick response

Alright, I need some serious help.  I'm having the same problem and I've tried 5 different computers.  My core is a Dell new SC440 w/ dual nic's.  The core "seems" fine".  It loads admin website, other computers connect fine using the web and orbitors.  I've tried a Lattitude D420 as a MD, a Lattitude D400, and 2 older Dell's and they all get to the same as described above.  Please someone help me!!!

All the potential MD are a single nic configuration.
