Hi randomfeelings,
can only suggest removing, reboot, then shut down for an  hour before reinstalling, I seem to recall this worked for me, (don't know why) when similar thing happened to me about a year ago,

Hi justdeb,
I,m  no expert so fwiw, have you tried F6 and select a known working channel ? : I have the same behaviour, and i think the problem is not editing channels conf ,as,  vdr now seems to go back to beginning of file rather than retaining last channel watched,
As  your vdr is in german it seems as tho the update has taken  (change in vdr settings in osd--if you can find it....Ican't :(

@niz23..thanks for looking into remote issues,  am still having trouble with colour anddvd menu buttons...I'd be very gratefull to know if anyone else is having similar issues,

regards,
Ian

Hi all,
apologies in advance, as I'm sure I've missed a check box somewhere, but I'm b**ered if I can find an  answer on wiki/forums.

Ive setup  a single usb webcam , under motion as detailed in wiki,: have ticked camera in admin >security> view cameras, and  scenario is on  menubar,
BUT i'm only seeing the one frame , generated yesterday..
[for a short while (during a screen freeze on the hybrid) I was getting updated frames on an md.- but that no longer happens.]
I suspect there are some parameters to be set in motion template, but am reluctant to bork things up further.
Any clues, mystic spells, arcane rituals involving  young women, or advice would be  welcome  ;D

TIA

Hi all,
ref  www.dusky-control.com
I've been playing with this for some time from the cli,and would really like to be able to use it in LMCE,

I know that TotallyMaxed and his team have done some work in this area , so the question is , does anyone have a working template/gsd that I could beg,  borrow, steal, or..... (takes deep breath)   buy ?

Before I get slapped, I know  ideally I should do this myself but having looked into it previously, I 've realised how limited my abilities are !!

Ian

Thom,

Emails of this kind are simply unacceptable and every forum member should stand up and be counted on this issue - a message of this kind is an afront to all of us here and we all need to state categorically that this is the case.

Anyone who participates in this Forum and acts inappropriately by sending this kind of offensive material to others should realise that it is as if that material was sent to us all.

Totally agree,

Hi all ,
am still stuck with certain remote buttons inoperative (see above) ....

have changed from mce  transceiver to usbuirt with no effect , (does seem faster tho),
so if no one else is experiencing  this  I'm gonna have to conclude it's my remote that's borked, and spend a few more pennies, any insight/ response appreciated,

regards,
Ian

Edit   If I "learned" the remote, could  I then add it under a different name using the process here       //wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/  Add_support_for_new_remote_controls

in order to check it out?

Users / Embedded tuners / off buttons /ui2
« on: October 13, 2008, 04:15:24 pm »
Hi all,
apologies in advance, but I can't get my head around this:

embedded tuners, of reciever  ( AM ota radio  /FM ota radio) ,  and TV  (Live TV ) worked fine: returning to UI,
then  pressing OFF turns  off the amp/TV   ..... leaving me either deaf or blind  ;D

SO :- no big problem,I altered both A/V properties pages  i.e  deleted "off" codes and substituted them : eg: tv,  instead of "off", used  "input 7"   ...  and all works ok .

BUT what's going to happen when I eventually enter  the dark arts  of  scenarios,? - I'm  thinking in terms of "putting the house  to sleep"-
obviously , it aint gonna happen !

can someone please give me a slap and point out  what  must be obvious to everybody except me,

tia

Hi people,

IT WORKS

usbuirt  |  stereo to 2xmono adapter --->ms blaster bug
---->3.5 to rca adapter--->  rca to rca cable-----CI bus input

----have only completed a couple of codes, as it's a bit of a performance learning the discrete codes,
but will document the  whole process on wiki shortly,

Hari,  do you have to dry your feet when you've finished walking on water   ??    ;D ;D

many thanks,
Ian
ps getting the usb uirt to learn is a bit of a bitch

EDIT  most codes scraped ,  and available - PM me
Ian
