If u have a 710 install then u can use the orbiter files under the installers folder. I am currently working on 2nd iteration of trying to build them for 810 but have been too busy trying to get 810 system stable to actually spend time on dev.

I have just re-installed in the last 2 weeks and have run diskless_createTBZ right after the install. I will try an apt-get upgrade on both core and MD though and see how that goes.

Hi All,

I am unable to get MYTHTV to play from a card that is installed on and MD. This used to work but i have rebuilt my core recently. I can add the card in myth setup but when i try to play TV it always compains that the inputs are all busy.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this.

I am assuming you are using ruby as its an rs232 receiver.
put a loop into the code after power on or before changing inputs.
Otherwise check if there is a wait/timer command in ruby.

I set unix extensions= no and restarted samba and rebooted th MD and can now play videos.

Hi,

since the latest update i am now unable to play a video on any of my MD's. When i press play the main menu just comes up and i dont get any messages. Core works OK. Is there a log that might show me an error message or is anyone else experiencing the same issue.

Thanks Zaerc. The symlinks were broken but i couldn't work out how to fix.

I have solved the problem by running Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh and then deleting and recreating the MD from scratch.

I was just wondering why  Diskless_CreateTBZ.sh download nearly everything again when the Core was already up to date.

Just wondering if anyone else was having problems creating MD's at the moment. After Diskless_setup the system reboots and i get

could not find kernel image moon#/vmlinuz
I have only tried on 1 PC but it used to work as an MD before i did a complete rebuild of core recently.

No there is are device pipe as i am using a GC100 ir to control it. Some of the buttons do work. like info and when i go to the more button a few more work on there.

I have created a template for the Foxtel IQ2 cable box and used the USB-UIRT to learn all the codes. The device shows up as a device to control under media and will turn the Foxtel box on when i select. However most of the buttons on the "remote" ie numbers and channel up/down down send anything. I can go to advanced section in the list and all of the codes work fine there.

During a dist-upgrade today all of the mythtv packages were removed and trying to add them back manually i am getting some errors.

apt-get install mythtv-backend

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  mythtv-backend: Depends: mythtv-common (= 2:0.22.0-fixes23323-0ubuntu0) but 2:0.23.0~trunk-23168-0ubuntu0 is to be installed
                  Depends: mythtv-transcode-utils (= 2:0.22.0-fixes23323-0ubuntu0) but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages



How do i force it lo look for .22 as mythtv-common is already installed and is at version .22

Developers / Re: Help with updating windows orbiter to VS2008

In the Orbiter src directory there are seems to be 3 windows folders for the Orbiter.

a. Orbiter
b. Orbiter\Win32
c. Orbiter\Win32_PocketFrog

There are already VS projects for a and c and nothing for b. 
I can successfully build a but cannot run/debug as it requires VSCP7.dll which is a VS2003 dll and i am working in 2005/2008.

Which is the obiter i need to be building.
