The numbers indicate VDPAU is not working as I get the same numbers with a regular 0710 with 180.44 Nvidia drivers.

It runs UI2 overlay well.  I did not attempt UI2 alpha.

Where you able to figure out the PSS issue ?

Posde, I agree, but the possibility exists. And altough it might be problematic I believe it is worth mentioning.

In your case, I'd go for a wired automation solution.
I know there's support (at least to some extent) for KNX/EIB, there's info on that on the wiki, but maybe some one else could shed more light on this. I never really messed with it thus I can't tell you much about it.
If you prefer a wireless solution, Z-Wave support is pretty good and as far as I can tell, the equipment is not vary expansive either. But bare in mind that wireless has some flaws you probably should take into consideration.

As for the media, if you'll have a central closet for everything, i'd try to keep as much as possible in there, including sat/cable boxes etc. I'd try to go for a totally clean installation with all the wiring hidden behind the TV's. I'd even consider having all the MD's in that closet but that might be vary restrictive, as you'll probably need to make sure all your TV's are rs-232 controllable and run RS-232 cabling as well as Audio/Video cabling to it, and all your control devices (orbiters) would need to be WIFI based (but that's an easier problem to solve).

Yes, near the top
If it's not there, redo the process. Probably a comma or something missing some where

Make sure you rename r8169.ko, otherwise it'll try to use it and fail. One more common problem is forgetting to run depmod on the MD.

Try to use the instructions on this wiki instead http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/ASUS_eee_box_b202_setup
It is a bit easier to follow and you can download a precompiled driver to make things easier.

Hello and welcome.

It seems to me that in order to be able to give the best advice, we need some more details, mainly, what stage of the construction have you reached and where are you located.
As for hardware choice, I would definatly make my choices with 0810 in mind. But I would also take into account the reomended HW info in the wiki, and try to follow it's guide lines.
Check this post: http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=7354.msg47773#msg47773, as I think it is the perfect example of how to approach hardware selection for LMCE correctly.

Thnx pigdog.

I do how ever seem to remember some one mentioning that there was a patch present from the pluto days to fix this thing.
Does any one know what I'm talking about or happenes to have it/know anything about it ?

Users / Multiple floorplans display problem
« on: April 10, 2009, 05:31:06 pm »
I have uploaded 3 floor plans, one for each story of my house. going to the on screen orbiter running UI-2+overlay, I have a button to choose each of the floor plans. The problem is that no matter which button I choose, the only visible floor plan is the first one uploaded.
The buttons do work as the hot spots change position according to the selected floor plan, but the image does not change. If I click a button repitedly, the image sometimes filckers and I can see the correct image flashing for a fraction of a second but then it goes back to the previous image. Under UI-1 it works correctly without any problems.
Does any one have any idea how to solve this ?

Thnx

Users / Re: Re-calibrate broken Fiire Chief?
« on: April 01, 2009, 05:49:32 am »
This is a caliberaton issue.
The best way to work with those remotes is to keep them on a level surface when not in use.
I had this problem for a long time and was positive my remote is broken. Then I saw this info on the gyration website and decided to give it a try and suddenly te remote started working again.
Since then it is on the table when ever not in use and the prob. is gone.

Hope this helps
