LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Wireless Router with internal switch

Hi all,
This is really disappointing. I was going to try connect an MD to a usb wireless adapter, which would then attempt to PXEBOOT off a wireless router on the internal interface on my core. There really isn't a point if you can't stream TV or Video. Thanks for the info guys, I had been wondering whether this would be a possibility at all.

LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: unable to install video driver
|
on: November 23, 2008, 03:07:57 am

I just recently completed the 64bit install, and I can admit that it was a beast. Below are the steps I performed. (Make sure you're network connection established as you'll need it to download your drivers.) 1) I started the system in recovery mode so I could get the command line interface. 2) If you haven't changed the default linuxmce account yours should be User: Linuxmce Pass: Linuxmce 3) Once logged run the following command to download the driver from the ATI website. Feel free to double check, but I sure this is the one you need. wget https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/64bit/ati-driver-installer-8-11-x86.x86_64.run4) Type ls to make sure the file downloaded. If so type in sudo ./ati-driver-installer-8-11-x86.x86_64.run. It will ask for you linuxmce password, type it in. If the "./" doesn't work try "sh". If this works the program should be running. 5) Follow the prompts to install. Hope this helps

Crumble's right. If you scroll down on the Device Details page under CORE>Generic Web Device, you will see a box that is set to 60 seconds. I changed it to 300, or 5 mins, and it works great.

I guess I forgot to mention that I also have the same problem when I connect to my MD using my Laptop as a Web Orbiter. I've been over both the Web Orbiter install guide, as well as numerous posting on the forum, but I can't seem to find any reason why my setup isn't working. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

LinuxMCE / Users / Web Orbiter with Iphone 3g

Hello All,
I recently purchased the Iphone 3G and am attempting to use it as a Web Orbiter. I've been able to connect to MD using my WiFi connection, but when I try to select "TV" or "Video" or any of the other options, nothing happens. Can someone explain how this is supposed to work? I followed the instructions to letter, but not sure my configuration is working properly. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello All, I'm trying to configure my Windows MCE USB2 remote to use the "More" button as a way to change tv tuners in Myth while watching television. I normally use the Y button on my keyboard, but that's kind of annoying. I was given the following lirc code from someone on the Ubuntu Forum, but I don't know where in LMCE I need to put it. Can someone let me know where the code needs to be placed? <Please see code below> # # brand: HP # model no. of remote control: TSGH-IR01 # devices being controlled by this remote: HP Slimline S3100y # # Derived from MCEUSB2 lircd.conf file (lircd.conf.mceusb) found at: # https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Install_Lirc_Feisty

LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Re: Adding my ZCS101 Zwave controller

I could have sworn it was used in the Linux Tag expo that took place earlier this month. Besides, I was told that HomePro replaced the ZCS000 with the ZCS101. If what you're saying is true, that would really stink.

LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Adding my CM11A for lighting.

Hello All,
Are there any up-to-date instructions on how to get LMCE 710 to recognize CM11A lighting module. I've looked around the forum, but I've only come across stuff from last year, and I was hoping that there was something regarding the most recent release. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Lircd.conf question.

Well some progress has been made, with some help from the folks at the Ubuntu forum. I tried updating my lircd.conf with the new info, but it didn't seem to have any effect. Not sure if it is the contents in the file, or if I'm not in the right directory. Can anyone give me some help?
