Hi,

When I send an Volume Up or Down IR command using the remote, webadmin, orbiter, etc only the first command is send out by my IRTrans module. Next commands are ignored until a different command eg. Mute is used.

Searched the forum and wiki cannot find any solution.

Is there anybody who can help me?

TIA Herman

« on: May 30, 2010, 01:39:56 pm »
Thom,

Thanks for the reply, I implemented the change as decribed in the trac ticker in smb.conf directly iso reinstalling. Works fine.

Is an easier solution for now.

Thanks again

Users / Problem accessing 2nd drive in core
« on: May 25, 2010, 08:35:06 pm »
I have a 2nd drive for storage in my core. This drive is setup using LMCE directory structure.
When using a network connection on a windows PC this drive in visible in the public and private shares of each user, but access to the drive is denied. The internal 1st drive can be used for storage using the network connection.

Anybody any idea what is wrong here?

I have both an X4-tech (analog tv card) and an HVR-4000 installed in a new core. The first card I have tested on a different core and works fine with the rigth options in modprobe.conf (options saa 7134 card=42 tuner=69).
For the HVR-4000 I installed a updated driver according to the instructions on http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-4000 I installed.
After reboot the saa7134, cx8800 and cx88_alsa modules report a lot of Unknown symbols in dmesg.

Any suggestions?

Best regards

Herman

Installation issues / AVwizard show blank screen
« on: December 24, 2009, 11:44:20 am »
After a clean install the AVwizard announces itself with the beeps but screen remains blank.

My configuration is:
Motherboard: M4N78 PRO with onboard Gefore 8300
Additional graphics card 8400, because I need svideo
Bluetooth keyboard Logitech diNovo edge

In the attached AVWizard.log I find 3 errors when starting X, but these errors appear also when I run startx, which brings up KDE desktop without any problems.
Further the log file report missing the file skin.xml, no clue what the impact of this is or how to resolve.

Any suggestions?

Best regards,

Herman

For soil moisture control I use an older model from the manufacturer Gardena, which works fine.
Currently they supply this one

Hi Dennis,

While rebuilding your house, make sure you install plenty of CAT5 cable. In most cases it is extremely difficult to retrofit cabling.
The more te better.

Good luck Herman

I 'm having the same problem: Orbiter won't activate with Intel i810 graphics UI2 with overlay. Also the UI diagnostic tool does not start.

Any suggestions?

Herman

BTW: release 7.10b4, 7.04 worked fine
