LinuxMCE / Users / Re: Media over network share unavailable ... please help!

I'm not sure exactly what fixed my problem, but its been two days now and the share has stayed online through many reboots. I think the last share thing could be coincidental. The only thing I can remember doing is setting a username and password for the share. The username and password is the same I use to log into the fileserver. I set this, eventhough the share doesn't require a password. I also made the share's partition active. After all the steps I took, after the first boot it was still offline, but it seemed to eventually stay online. Sorry I can be of more help. I know how much of a pain that is.

Actually, I just noticed this yesterday with one of my shares. The online checkbox on the admin site won't stayed checked and yes, when the share appears offline to LMCE, the media doesn't display in media browser, but it is searchable. If you delete the share and add it again, it appears online, until your next reboot. I have 7 shares, and it is always the last share of the bunch, thats is the last share in alphabetical order. I actually played around with it yesterday and it appears to be staying online even after a reboot. I will provide more details of the steps I took later, but I don't even know right now if it actually fixed the problem.

I only have one nic. The internal (eth0) is configured with an IP address from my router and the external (eth1) is set to the default (192.168.80.1). I can surf the web on other computers on the 80.xxx network. I will check to see if I can directly from the core, but I'm assuming that I can.
Actually it is the other way around, the internal is 192.168.80.1 and the external is 192.168.1.100.

Just to clearify, when you say schema view, you are refering to a graphical schema i.e. ERD and not a data dictionary?
I haven't tried yet, but Visio uses an odbc driver and as long as I can set up a connection to the mySql database, it should be doable. Problems will arise when it comes to datatypes and relationships, for the reverse engineering might not translate everything accuratly.

Flickr is downloading new images. I think appserver is fine. The only other issue that I have is when I click on the computing button,, the orbiter crashes and causes a router reload.

Does anyone now why my software packages list is empty ever since install (0710b3). I know I can install dvdcss from the command line but I'm hoping that there is a way that I can force the software packages to be downloaded. Is there a script that I can run? Thanks.

Are all the logs file located under /var/log/pluto? Which log file should I look at, the one for the app server? I'm not in front of box right now, so I don't know all the logs contained in that directory.

At what point do you get that prompt, during boot, inside the GUI, etc.. Did you do a successful install? That looks like the regular user command prompt.

Every since I installed 0710b3 I can't enter the computing menu. After I click on the computing button, the orbiter freezes up and then the router gets reset. I will log this in mantis. Anyway to get around this?
