Thanks for the help. I found the secret setting on FreePBX and confirmed it in sip_additional.conf. The only question I have now is that I have a 7940 cisco and in FreePBX there is no secret field. How do I insure this is protected? Thanks, Randy

I changed the password for the orbiter phone in MCE admin but it did not change in the sip_additional.conf file. Am I not changing the password in the correct place? I really do appreciate everyone taking the time to answer my questions. Thanks, Randy

I am searching for the logs. I spoke with the broadvoice people and they informed me that I was probably hacked. I know sometimes it is a catch all answer but I think that was probably what happened. Is there a way to see if any one tampered with the system? Logs should be coming soon. Thanks, Randy

Last night I got an email from broadvoice and was advised that I had violated their terms of service agreement. It seems that my LMCE system had been making numerous phone calls out in a somewhat random sequence. The system made 100's of calls without my knowledge spaced 20-30 seconds apart. Broadvoice stopped the outgoing calls but the Core continued to dial throughout the night since I was not present to stop it. Has anyone heard of such a thing? Has my system been hacked? I rebooted the system and it immediately began making calls again. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I do not want to have to reload and if there was a hack how do I prevent it in the future? Thanks, Randy

LinuxMCE / Installation issues / Not Able to Play DVD on MD 8.10 Beta 2

I have a problem with 8.10beta2 DVD install. I have a Zotac ION 230 as a MD. It functions fine under the Alpha but I have been trying to update to the B2 and I have run into this problem. Firstly, I have installed libdvdcss2 on both the core and MD. The problem is that I can not get a DVD to play on the MD. It plays fine on the CORE but not on the MD. I have reloaded the MD twice without any luck. I am really stuck at this point.
Thanks, Randy

I have just upgraded from a working 8.10 alpha to the 8.10b2 DVD. The load went well as far as getting the core/hybrid to work. I attempted to bring up a MD and I got the above message. I tried reloading the MD diskless image to no avail. When running the MD script how can I see if everything went well? I know this is a newbie type question but I can't seem to make any headway. Any help would be appreciated. I am using a Ion 230 as a MD that works on 8.10 alpha 27 Thanks, Randy

Just now getting the hardware together to test. I have a scale, just because the wife said that would be cool. I have acquired the USB bar code reader and was doing some testing just on the basic linux system to see how the drivers work. Then most of the guys at work left me working most of the shifts so have not revisited the setup for over a month now. I have just been trying to keep up with 8.10 beta. You have some great ideas and I will keep them in mind. You have much more experience with programming than I but I thought I should jump in and learn. Thanks, Randy
