I guess, the biggest problem is that VDR and MythTV for LMCE is the stable releases, and the patches are made for the developer versions...
yes. But the interesting part is, with 0810 you will no longer need a special lmce VDR version, even though we provide one. Right now you can, after installing the lmce VDR, go and install any other VDR version you like. If you want to provide some ready made packages for us to include in the lmce distribution, we will gladly accept those. Unfortunately, right now, I don't think we have the man power, to go after these patches ourselfs. rgds Oliver

bulek, the maemo orbiter is doing exactly that. The orbiter is kind of like a good looking lady. The lady wants to be the one with 100% of you attention. Diverting your attention to other tasks makes her feel uneasy, and she shows It is a problem we know about, and gladly accept patches against rgds Oliver

Hello chippy,
the safest bet with regards to hardware is the wiki. If you find the board in the wiki, you know what to think of it.
Apart from that, I do know that people have had stability problems with the Nova T-500 under 0710, but that it works better on the 0810 alpha (according to niz23)

The disked MD was taken out as a regular option from lmce. However, I have seen multiple people having success installing lmce on a computer within the .80. subnet with an existing core, and that way achieving a disked MD.

bulek,
if tagging is not working the way it is suppose to work under lmce, it needs to be fixed. Telling people not to use lmce for something lmce has facilities for is counter productive.
As chriss pointed out, try to track down what is going wrong (if you can), and open up a ticket in trac.
THANK YOU.

Is it really that hard to read the few posts in this thread?
No its not hard.... I just want to make sure. Not being an IT profesional I just want to double check. I trade dervivatives for a living I'm sure you'll get them in 5 min too. How's your 401k? I'm sure you understand every single part of it and don't need to ask obvious things as they are clearly written in the prospectus... don't ya? Not all of us were born with linux in our veins... but I'm getting there. Thanks It has nothing to do with understanding Linux. If I read a thread like this, where people say it does not work for them, while other people say it does work for them, I would not say that this board is trouble free. As Thom pointed out, try to read the few post. I am sure, everyone with just a little bit of knowledge in the English language, will be able to understand that there seem to be troubles with the board. rgds Oliver

nite_man, I doubt a lot of products can hold the stand against Apple when it comes to cool factor. But my point is: There are other manufacturers out there producing VESA mountable boxes, not using VIA chipsets. And giving the positive experience totallymaxed has with the eee boxes, I think they are quite nice (and very quiet as well). rgds Oliver

lmce skin is not done using XML, but with a database and bitmaps. You need to use HA Designer (or QuickDesigner), if you want to change location of objects and/or flow of action. Or you need GIMP (or similar) to just change the graphics of the existing layout.
