If I were you, I would start with lmce and get to know lmce inside and out. In 3-6 month time, you will be able to make the decision to either add the additional services to the system, or keep a different system.
Some people put everything into a single system, other people prefer to keep things separate.

We received a sofa where people could sit. Most of the rest of the equipment was brought along by lmce people. (except the Plasma which was sponsored for the week).
We had approximately 4x3m with walls, and a counter plus a couple of barstools.
Follow me was a nice feature, we used the plasma plus a notebook as an MD.
What is important, imho, is to show people that lighting and stuff is also working nicely. i.e. go away from the media center, more towards the home automation aspect of lmce

colinjones, it uses ATI video, which is not good is a fairly strong statement. You can get ATI cards to work with lmce. I ran my home theater MD with an ATI card under UI, without a problem. rgds Oliver PS: Granted, nvidia has more features within lmce, but that does not mean, ATI is not a valid choice.

What does it currently do? Presumably it is just the interface and EPG in LMCE that has the issue, not VDR itself?
I'm surprised that Andrew's team haven't been interested in this - do they not provide satellite solutions as well?
Most people seem to be content with a single reception type, i.e. DVB-S or DVB-T.

When I need to find something on the wiki, I always use google site:wiki.linuxmce.org <a word to search for> works, no matter how long the word is. Not up-to-date though.

golgoj4,
bmac2 should have some files that you might want to print out as posters for the booth.
