Possy - I'm not talking about displaying, fine, I'm talking about the "ABC" etc tabs down the side not working (and so is Domodude!)

I probably have used the wrong wording.

Ampersands in artist names, work just fine. And the AB CD buttons work with those artists without any problem. The only problem is, if the characters are wrongly encoded in the original tags. I have used ampersands, Umlauts, accents (and other stuff I do not know the name of), from the web admin. They do not cause problems. The only problems I have experienced is from stuff tagged outside the web admin.

Possy - you've changed my ticket to "head" version and no milestone.... what does that imply?

It implies, that it is not relevant for any milestone at the moment, but should be looked after once we have completed 810.

First up, the bug that is preventing this from working properly needs to be squashed. I confirmed with devnull earlier today that this is still present in 0810 alpha, so I have logged a ticket in trac.

This bug exists in 0710 as well.

My sound volume is all jacked up now...is there a way to revert to the old template?  I see how to do it through sqlcvs, but I'm not sure which tables to revert, or should I wait until 810?

It's fixed now...I was able to roll it back.

web admin / Advanced / sqlCVS / Diff - Revert is very helpful indeed

get rid of special characters as well, such as ' & and so on. " and . and - and () are fine, but the others can cause problems in the SQL queries because apparently they aren't properly escaped... once removed, the tabs will work again.

it is not the characters that are causing the problem, but the encoding. I have quite a few artists with an ampersand in the name, a german Umlaut, and they display fine, after being assigned thru the web admin.

this is a known problem.

It happens if any of your tags contain wrongly encoded characters.

how about you fix what is broken and provide a patch? If you select all the phones to ring on the web admin routing, they should all ring. If they don't, that's is a bug. And that bug should be fixed.

By manually screwing the dialplan, you are loosing a lot of functionality.

I use a file server on the external network of my lmce box. I just have to add the file server address and MAC usinf the web admin. Then I reload router and let lmce do the rest

itspac, if you have done, what you wrote, your system would not be working!

DO NOT ADD THE MAC ADDRESS OF AN OUTSIDE SYSTEM, or you will screw up your dhcpd.conf file to the point where it won't allow dhcpd to start.

IP-address alone works fine and dandy. btdt and still doing it.

Yes $500 is steep!,  so a new build is underway, wireless or wired ip, 2x ir 2xrs232 2xrelay  temp sensor and 6 button inputs, price... hopefully $100 ish. when i say ish i mean in the range of 10% so more inline with the market i would hope!, the wifi might be a drop more as a few more parts.

That price point sounds reasonable.

Couldn't we still at least list the chipsets and ask the user to pick?

That's exactly what happens with the AV Wizard automatically. It checks vor nVidia, ATI and Intel chipsets and uses the respective driver, or vesa, if it does not have a match.
