Format can be filled with what ever you like.

but I just grepped thru the sources. It seems, that even though we can store the commands needed to switch aspect ratios, this command is never used automatically. So yes, you do have that command available to send out, if you want (from the advanced IR screen), it is not something the system does automatically upon reading the current movies attributes.

you need to use a tool like MySQL Query Browser, to add new entries into the StyleVariation table.

StyleVariation has FK_Style references, which refer to the styles defined in the FK_Style table.

You need to also get the PK_Skin # for your skin from the Skin table.

Or you could utilize QuickDesigner for this, as QuickDesigner has a nice little UI for the style references, incl. copying of existing styles.

No. I will massage your data and update it accordingly.

Now colud be cool that the conversion should be done directly by the Admin Page, where u could upload directly the csv file.

We can simply run that script from php page and grab the output file  or we can write the script directly in php.

What do u thing?

I think the idea is a nice one, and you might want to ping merkur2k on IRC about it, as he is quite into the web admin.

Please also post the setup.conf of the core.

Posde,
the patch is almost finished and most likely will be ready for 0810. We have a few small issues left to resolve but we're almost there.
It does not effect any other media playing functionality.

Thanks for the update. Did you have success in extending it to the MDs?

skeptic,

as I was the only dev who posted in this thread, this must imply, that I "browbeat" the initial poster.

I really can't see, what I did, to imply anything like that.

And, I do like the posted calculation. We will have a beta by that date. Latest. Promise! :D

colinjones,

he was talking about changing things on the TV. There is a GSD command that can be implemented that can change for example 16:9 to 4:3 or stuff like that. There is currently no support for on-the-fly changing of the xorg.conf file.

Well, I think I estimated it quite nicely...

Unfortunately, some things are still hard coded. nite_man was doing the russion translation, and received some insight about this in another thread.

We will release a DVD image, once we have had the chance to test things out. And NO, we will not give out the URL to make sure our poor pipes do survive the day.  ;)

Looking at the Roadmap, I am positive that the majority of the waiting period for beta is over.

For starters I am going to try out changing the Frequency of the TV according to the video I am going to watch. Later on I hope that this somehow can be implemented in LinuxMCE...

You do know, that there already is a command for, don't you? Make sure you tag your video files correct, and LinuxMCE should automagically do the switching.

Thanks for the ticket.

I found it already, it was a mere pointer for the future.

What i want to ask? meaby somebody should assing the ID for the language and the people that wants to translate this release work directly with the reserved ID for that language upgrading like a main Text_LS stored in the SVN. It is junt an idea.
We have this very cool thing called sqlCVS. It is for a database what cvs and subversion are for source code. If you would have updated your database with sqlCVS beforehand, it would have automagically re-assign the number for the language already. Unfortunately, we have a problem with anonymous commits to the designer repo (the repo where the language is stored), therefore it is a bit cumbersome.

atm I manually massage the language files locally, and commit them via sqlCVS to the main database.
