Installation issues / Re: AVWizard Problem (Fresh Installation)
« on: December 03, 2017, 01:40:55 pm »
Do not add your favourite, but replace your the automatically chosen one with your favourite in Utils.sh and nvidia-install.sh - ie. if your computer wants to install 352 and you want 375, replace 352 with 375 in both files.

Let me know if it helps.

As I told golgoj4 yesterday in IRC, make sure that if you do have a specific version of the nVidia driver you use, change it in *both* scripts. nvidia-install.sh AND Utils.sh. Please report back if it helps.

Glad you got it sorted out. Would you mind writing a small entry in the wiki, so the next person knows exactly how easy it is?

During first phase it probably installs some new drivers. I would check in that direction.

Nice. Did you remove the extraneous directories the script found in /lib/modules?

Did you look at line 6 to understand how it determines the correct kernel to copy over?

Seems to be an issue with kernel versioning and the command that tries to find that latest kernel. If you look at line 6 of Diskless_BuildDefaultImage.sh you will see how it tries to find the latest kernel. See if you have some leftover directories in /lib/modules from old kernel installs.

It is not really intended that way, if you kill the running Orbiter on the device, ssh into it, and run
Code: [Select]
DISPLAY=:0.0 /usr/pluto/bin/Orbiter

you might have success...

What is stopping you from setting up a regular Orbiter and run it directly from a remote machine?!

A restart of git helped. Please try again.

Users / Re: Is there an Advanced ZWave Programming tutorial

No programming guide, but one of the things that you will need is the EggTimer device. Check the wiki on how to utilize it.

EDIT: and there is a small thread on the forum about it https://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=12493

It is not about speaker routers that are IP controlled, but using active IP devices to power speakers direct, ie. Squeezeboxes et al. For broadcasting audio-only they are perfect.

If you install the zwave interface on the MD, it should be detected and setup accordingly. At least, that's what it should do :-)

Did you try contacting hacs? Seems they did something similar for atonhome.com. No idea on availability though, especially with most people going the TCP/IP route, instead of routing audio signals direct.
