Make sure UpdateMedia daemon is running. And remember that it takes a long time. If you move a file to a local disc on the core, it /should/ automatically be scanned right away. On a remote disk, it will need to wait for the next cycle.

Even if the link is for windows, maybe it helps you as well. The google search term was: Firefox skin touch friendly.

Now that UpdateMedia daemon is running, did you try re-editing the file, and see if the ID3 file gets created?

The above link talks about the original Orbiter way of doing things. Thanks to golgoj4 we have a new engine to drive the skinning to a new level. qOrbiter and/or QML are the keywords to search for on wiki.linuxmce.org

Takes a month or two for a newbie with logical thinking ability to produce something within LinuxMCE that isn't there yet, in terms of controlling a device.

Check what module is needed for that controller, and if maybe that specific controller has a known issue with a specific kernel version used by 1204. Maybe you need to add some specific startup parameters on the kernel load line.

If you are using the controllers (fake)raid, mdstat is of no use, and from LinuxMCE's point of view, you have a single big disk.
