Sounds very good!  Grin

The channel is up and running, we just dont have any privileges whatsoever. Sad

* Update *

We now have complete control over the channel.

Now we need to fill out a form for the freenode network.

Is there any explanation that the irc-channel is not officially promoted anywhere ? (wiki, homepage etc.)  Huh

I would like to revive the irc-channel as it (IMO) is the most efficient way to support people.

I've made a BOT for the channel, but we need the password for the channel for it to gain full functionallity.

I will contribute with support when i have some sparetime, and i suggest that more experienced users will do too.

I have not yet succeeded in a conversion, but when i get some more time i will try it out again.  Wink

I mainly chose the m600i because of the touch display, wich i my case improves productivity and versatility considerable.  Cool

I promise to share my experiences with those who might be interested.  Roll Eyes

Imo, the flick show has a certain wow-effect for first time users, and should be left as default.

But I agree, it should be easier to use local photos if people want that.

First of all, thanks for all the replies and interest.

I registered with the UIQ development site a time ago to get an idea about how much it would take to make a conversion between different mobile phone OS's, and stumbled across this guide.

http://developer.uiq.com/forum/entry.jspa?externalID=124

But my skills in development are quite not as required (yet i hope).

I will try out the SDK this weekend, and then i will return to you about the results.

The Nokia N70 is not an UIQ phone but Series60 wich should be well supported by LinuxMCE. (AFAIK?)

However i know that UIQ has a conversion tool to convert applications between different versions of symbian and uiq, but to use that tool requires some dev skills and the source code for the application.

It is not supported now.

When i try to run the sis file, my phone says "File type not supported".

It annoys me that UIQ3 is not backwards compatible with older phone applications, had i known that, i would not have bought the m600i.

The UIQ3 is a operating system supporting touchscreenenabled phones.

Is there any hope that this would happen ?  Roll Eyes

I have a Sony Ericsson m600i with (UIQ3) touchscreen and thought it would be cool if i could use this in my linuxmce-enviroment.  Wink
