Users / cisco 7970g hardward issue
« on: December 25, 2012, 02:03:09 am »
I have gotten my hands on (2) 7970's but I think I found out the reason why they were giving them away. They start to boot up, but it looks like somone deleted the firmware. All I get is a blank screen.  and using tftp all I can see is that the phones are requesting an iP that is not in my range.   Any ideas on what I should try? Been looking online for a few days now.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

I did delete freenas from the core in the admin manger, reinstalled it, and then did a init pluto-media, but still nothing.

I will do that again. I'll shut down freenas, go into the web admin, and delete the freenas. is there anything else I should do before I turn the freenas server back on?

I've been running 0810 with all our media stored on a freenas server for it seems like 2 years. we had a power outage last night, and after I rebooted the core and the freenas this morning. I can not pick any of the movie media thru the GUI. but the screwing thing is that I can still see it in the lmce-admin web interface, and I can also browse using a windows machine and go thru the folders and save the files off of the freenas server thru the core.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Mike

I would think those rosewills will work. I have 3 of these from rosewill and have them working. I thought it was pretty painless to setup.  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16881147003

Wife is asking for a list of all the movies and albums on our server and NAS. Does anyone have a good way to print out a list?

I haven't found anything searching

Thanks,

I agree, the people that sell off their stuff should update their forum link.

Feature requests & roadmap / idea for new phone feature
« on: September 26, 2009, 04:36:19 pm »
Just saw that comcast's new cable boxes have a feature that allows you to snooze a phone number that just tried to call for a pull down amount of time, like 5, 10, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes. their reasoning was that customers didn't like the caller id to keep poping up while watching a movie, etc..  is it worth looking into this?

I hope we can get it working without Gizmo.  I had the above working on my PIAF server for the office, and then had to do the current way which eliminates Gizmo, since they now charge for working with google voice.... New way works awsome...

between my G1 and my PBXIAF server, its been great. I think I will have 4 minutes on my next cell bill..I am actually seeing if I can drop my cell package any lower.

GV thru gizmo only allows 3 minute calls now. Nerd Vittles has a new setup that parks a call to use GV straight thru Asterisk..  http://nerdvittles.com/?p=635

Hope that helps.
