i've had this problem as well. It mainly happened when I had the 'update media' checked. Since i've left it unchecked I dont have this problem anymore. But yeah, somehow AC/DC cover art made it to Tablib Keweli ???

so if you really want it.. click on view by Filename. If you're not happy, modify your version of the code. OR LEAVE.

are you always this pissy? Seriously, its feature requests. So fracking sorry if we ask for a better way to access the content. Didnt realize it was your way or the highway. And in the future, maybe you shouldn't accuse other users of being thieves.

And seriously, do you have to spend your time pooping on ideas for improvement? It seems more productive work can be done besides calling people thieves and telling them its 'this way or the highway'. Why do you think we ARENT using windows  ::)

Xine has been customized for LMCE and you will have a mess on your hands if you muck with it. I hear that Xine will be replaced in the next release any week now so just wait.

thats what I decided to do. Im not qualified to go messing around with the guts...yet  8)

Ok, so I just received mine on Friday.  I have been trying to get it to work properly since then. Maybe someone here can answer a couple of questions for me.

1. How do you set up scenarios? Its really confusing with all the random commands in the scenario page. Do i need to create a cheat sheet and learn every single one? Is there an easier way to tell it what to turn on and off? Currently, nothing works right except the volume.  :(

2. Why would my usb-uirt send the right code once, then stop working after that?

3. this is related to the scenarios again. is there an explicit way to tell it what to do and when?

Believe when I say i have been pouring over the wiki, but the info there is really just not complete. hopefully someone here can explain to me how to get this working properly.

I assume that your usb-uirt is working for 'normal' IR remote control functions?

You are correct sir. My issues are the firing of the ir commands. I did get things worked out by solely using my receiver, but im still curious as to how linuxMCE decides what commands to send and where. Im very confused as to why a code would work once, then stop. i even looked into the timing and other stuff but no dice. maybe i crossed the wrong code somewhere? I also have a gyro mouse. Could that be causing a problem?

btw. im working with:

recently purchased usb-irt
xp MCE remote

thanks for any ideas

I just got mine today! Im actually using the TIVO ir emitter in conjunction with the usb-uirt. It is a single ir blaster  that splits into two so it can control the tv and receiver.

not sure if this is related, but I found this while trying to track this problem down on the interwebs.

http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-338191.html

maybe when the next update is fixed it wont happen? xine player is used locally in these situations so maybe its this library?

the dumb part of me wants to try and fix it manually. the smart part of me knows i would have to be lucky to...
hmm ;)

« on: November 04, 2007, 02:33:21 am »
I just got a gyro mouse, the gyration version shown in the demo. The absolute scrolling doesn't work for me either. It sometimes comes on, and sometimes doesn't. I was looking for specific instructions on how to use it, but I guess it still a little buggy?

Users / Re: Media Library gone mad!
« on: October 28, 2007, 10:06:11 pm »
A little problem I've been having.

I tried to use the automated media cover art feature, but something happened and now it has mis labeled my entire collection. I've just re-installed the entire system (kubutu live cd & 2 install disc process) but the library seems to have not been erased. I suppose i should have re-formatted it as well eh?

Anyways, my question is, where is this media information stored. Someone mentioned that I could access the db locally, but how. Also, it seems to want to overrule me on data after I attempt to fix incorrect information. I can go through a long list and see them back the next day with the incorrect information.

Any Ideas?

login to Web Admin and use -> files & Media -> Media Files Sync

Thats how im trying to correct the files in the 1st place. it seems to be overwriting the changes im making via the media files sync.

This is not a fix but it should stop UpdateMedia from doing any more damage... in Web Admin - Files & Media -> Media Files Sync use the 'Update Media Daemon' tick box on the left of the screen to turn UpdateMedia off. Now at least you can investigate the problem without more damage occurring.

Thanks a lot. That suggestion help and now when I put the info in it doesn't overwrite.   ;D Was very frustrated for sure...
